What a great idea for a book that’s linked to a series but can hold its own as a cookery book. This book has many recipes that we have read about in Man of the Month plus a few more and we got an added bonus of some short loveable reads catching up with previous characters and one new couple. I was thrilled to get more from Reese and Jenner and what’s better than a birth .... then we caught up with Nolan and Shelby, Spencer and Brooke and then we got a glimpse of a Eric and Tiffany a couple we have yet to meet...... Love the concept, love the recipes, love the couple and I guess you have got the picture ....I loved this book and if you love cooking or reading romance you will too.

What’s better than sharing a great meal with loved ones and good friends? Not a whole lot I’m thinking, so to me this was a total winner from the start. Bar Bites is filled with a few scenes about some of our favourite couples from the Man of the Month series, not to mention a couple of new characters, along with some truly spectacular mouth-watering and inspiring recipes which will leave you begging for more. Often when you are reading one of the books you will find yourself imagining the dishes and or drinks that are mentioned Throughout the books the culinary delights are often mentioned in passing and many readers, me included have asked for the “secrets” to these dishes; this book is the result. This book is a great mix of stories and easy to follow recipes that might well inspire your own Mon of the Month experience, I know I am certainly going to have a go at some of these recipes. This was a great combining of three of my passions, cooking, drinking and the highly successful Man of the Month series. Way to go J Kenner and Suzanne Johnson; I loved this book and know that there are many who will appreciate it.

Lovely recipes and 4 novelettes Bar Bites is a wonderful addition to the Man Of the Month series. It is unique, featuring recipes for wonderful drink concoctions and good ‘ole bar food. They sound so delicious with easy to follow steps and simple ingredients. And I really loved catching up with characters from the previous books in the series. We get a look into their lives away from the bar. 1.Reese and Jenna in “All I Need” 2.Nolan and Shelby in “One More Night” 3. Spencer and Brooke in “Don’t Let Go” 4. Eric and Tiffany in “Just A Kiss” Tiffany Russell and Eric Shay, individually, have crushes on each other. But don’t act on their attraction because Tiffany used to date Eric’s older brother. How can she make the moves on her ex-boyfriend’s brother? Well, things get heated when they’re thrown together and sparks fly. In this installment, we learn The Fix on Sixth Bar is doing well, the man-of-the-month contests and promotional events worked to bring the business to a positive financial position. Eric gets the chance for promotion as the new bartender at the new location.

Wow this book has a little bit of everything, you get a little story but you also get some good recipes and cocktails which I hope to try out. I don't think any other author has done a book quite like this before and it is nice to have a change. The recipes made me a bit hungry.

4.5 stars What a nice idea to combine a series with a way to make good food to share with family and friends. Bar Bites combines recipes with some of the favorite couples from the books including: Reece and Jenna, Nolan and Shelby, and Spencer and Brooke to show where they are now along with a brand-new couple, Eric and Tiffany. Ms. Kenner’s easy flowing writing style has a way of creating vivid pictures that set the scene to where the reader feels as if he/she is actually there with the characters. This is a welcome extension of the series and I recommend it for those that enjoy cooking and may want to spice up their menu a bit. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

The perfect combination in a book.....fantastic recipes and hot, steamy short stories about several of our favorite couples from the Man of the Month series! It was so nice to "catch up" with these characters and find out what's going on in their lives. Short, fun, and definitely sizzling stories keep you turning the pages. Can't wait for the next book!

Bar bites allows us to catch up with Reece, Nolan, Spencer, and newly introduced to Eric. Great epilogues for the previous stories and I’m sure some awesome recipes for all of Tyrees yummys!

This book was such a neat idea!!! Not only do we get the recipes from the bar we've been reading about, but we get short stories of a few of the couples so we can see where they are at in their relationships. I truly enjoyed this read. It's a short read and soooo worth it! I can't wait to try some of these awesome looking recipes!!! Great idea!

"You're mine, Tiffany. Wholly and completely. Body and soul. And you know what else? I'm yours too." I've enjoyed reading this series, and this little nibble is something a bit different. We get to see what's been going on with the couples we've already come to know and love .There's indications of stories to come, and we read about Eric and Tiffany, and how a slow-burn secret crush can explode in to something that's steamy and lasts forever. Add to that the recipes for some of the yummy items on the menu at the Fix and some of their signature cocktails and you've got one delicious book!! Only a few more Man of the Month books to go! Can't wait!

Cooking is one of my favorite past times. Coming close only to reading. So combining great recipes with short stories by one of my favorite authors, is a winning combination in my book. If you are a fan of the Man of the Month series, you will definitely love the short stories give you a little glimpse in the lives of some of your favorite couples: Reece and Jenna, Nolan and Shelby, Brooke and Spencer. And as a cherry on top, you will get one extra. The story of Tiffany and Eric. All these short stories are sweet, romantic, a little bit funny and just the right amount of sexy :) So be sure to check them out. And if you love good food and great cocktails, be sure to check the recipes in the book. I already tried a few and I am definitely a fan of everything The Fix on Sixth has to offer :D I can't wait to try few more as soon as I can, I have my eye on a dirty Martini with Blue Cheese olives ;)

Bar Bites is a cookbook with “Slices of Life.” The slices are very short stories (epilogues) with Reece and Jenna; Nolan and Shelby; Spencer and Brooke; and a short story about a couple I’m sure you’ve been routing for. All these stories occur after the Man of the Month calendar is completed and into a new year. Each story was fun and sexy. While you know everyone is getting their HEA, I felt like there were a couple spoilers. Even though you can pretty much figure it out from the books so far, you’ll discover who Brent and Griffin definitely end up with. So the recipes... They are all from the books including the Loaded Corona and Jalapeño Margarita. All the recipes are divided up per month and some are very seasonal. There are some recipes I’m looking forward to trying. I made the Pinot Punch, perfect for a warm day. The Cranberry Turkey Melt was awesome, but I did use white cheddar instead of Muenster.

A perfect companion to Man of the Month books. Updates on your favorite Man of the Month couples (including a new arrival), fantastic recipes (which can be transformed to gluten free) and Tiffany and Eric's first kiss. You cannot ask for more.

Bar Bites is a delicious collection of slice of life stories from the Man of the Month series interspersed with tasty food & drink recipes. Some sexy, sweet moments are spent with three favorite couples from the bar before the final short story, Just a Kiss, gives Eric & Tiffany their shot at love. All the stories are quick & fun and I can’t wait to try some of the yummy drinks!

I have to admit…I’m not much of a foodie or a drinker for that matter, but I love the atmosphere that’s created in a bar, and The Fix on Sixth definitely fits the bill when it comes to offering its customers a place to come together for some laughs, some adult beverages, some amazing appetizers, and one heck of a good time. And because the bar and its crew offer a menagerie of eats, drinks, and merriment, its clientele keeps coming back for more, and it’s this eclectic bunch that has worked together to ensure The Fix remains a staple in their lives. Bar Bites: A Man of the Month Cookbook showcases a little bit of everything when it comes to what the bar offers, and it also provides updates into the lives of some of the couples who have already graced the pages of this series, offering insights into how they’re working towards their happily ever afters. Readers also get to witness a new couple emerge and finally give into what they’ve been feeling for one another for quite some time. Bar Bits is an interesting addition to the series because it takes a deeper look into the setting of most of its stories, and while The Fix isn’t always the central focal point, everything that the characters are doing in terms of the calendar is to save the bar, so it’s a cool idea to get a better idea as to why this bar is so beloved as well as catch up with some of the couples as readers head into the final stretch of the series. 4 Poison Apples

Bar Bites A Man of the Month Cookbook J. KENNER 5 foodie stars Of course I’ve loved the Man of the Month Series, but this is so much fun as well….just like bar bites of little foods and drinks there are little teasers of some of our favorite new couples. These recipes come at a perfect time...graduation parties and summer BBQ’s. Can’t wait to test them out...reading made me hungry! “The man called to her without saying a word. Possessed her without using his hands. Captured her with only his eyes.” Julie continues to amaze me with her creative writing concepts! You have never read a cookbook like this before...you may need to have a cool refreshing drink on hand for some of these mini slices of stories! “I think you’ve destroyed me...In the best possible way.”

How do you make the series better?!?! You add a recipe book that has the drinks and food from the bar!! Whoop whoop as a foodie sort myself I of course was thrilled to see some of the recipes that are in here. OK no it may not be the healthiest but it looks darn good. Top it off with a quick steamy read about two folks that have been in the background and you have a true gem. Tiffany and Eric's story has a nice twist to it and yeah it fits right in with the challenges these relationships have dealt with. Love it food, friends and love what more can you ask for. This is a great read with recipes that make your mouth water. I can't wait to try them out.

So many recipes to all those goodies referenced in the Man of the Months novellas are compiled in this book and I look forward to trying so many of them, especially Pinot Punch which I have tagged for a party this summer. Any who...we are also treated to three epilogues which did the heart good! Reece and Jenna have the baby, Brooke and Spencer decide to elope, and Nolan and Shelby get engaged. Oh my, it is always good to go back and see how the couples are doing. We are also treated to a short story with a new couple we have been watching circle each other. Eric has managed to not get wrangled into the Man of the Month contest even though he is one of the best bartenders The Fix has and Tiffany has finally reached her breaking point or has he. Somehow they end up on a "date" but never actually go on the date. Just what they needed to finally break through. **Received this ARC for review**

What a nice extra treat that comes from J. Kenner's Man of the Month series!!! Okay, my first thought was, how am I going to review a cookbook? I have never done that before. Then I thought, well I can always turn to my hubby for thoughts since he always is cooking something new. But once I started to dig in, I was in for a surprise! You get your favorite characters and new ones with this book. You get little bit of a story line that will help you understand the recipes. And there was definitely a couple I have to try!!! Bar Bites was exciting to read and I am ready to start cooking with smile on my face. Bar Bites is like bring home a piece of The Fix on Sixth right into your kitchen! Bar Bites is a perfect book to celebrate your summer with!

Perfect bites! There are 4 stories interconnected with recipes featured at the Fix on Sixth. We get to check-in with Jenna & Reece, Shelby & Nolan, Spencer & Brooke while also getting Tiffany and Eric’s story. I am enjoying this entire series, getting to feel like I can live with the circle of friends brought together by the Fix on Sixth and this cookbook is a wonderful complement giving more insight into a few of the couples while providing one new romance along with a great mixture of recipes. Truly just a joy to read and enjoy.

Such a fun read! Bar Bites is a short book filled with recipes, cocktails, love, desire and sexy time. Throughout the monthly specialty foods are little snippets of past Man of the Month couples. This was a great idea and I absolutely loved the extra storylines of some of my favorites in the series. Eric and Tiffany’s Just a Kiss is a quick story that’s included at the end of the monthly treats. J Kenner is brilliant and her writing continues to keep me in my happy place.

BAR BITES (Man of the Month) by J. Kenner and Suzanne M. Johnson is a fun and flirty cookbook that takes a second look at some of our favourite characters and couples with ‘Slices of Life’ focusing on Reece and Jenna (All I Need), and Spencer & Brooke (Don’t Let Go), as well revealing the growing love and relationship between the The Fix on Sixth waitress Tiffany and bartender Eric with Just a Kiss. BAR BITES is first and foremost a cookbook with some of the food and drink recipes the story line characters push and promote at The Fix on Sixth throughout the Man of the Month series. A decadent collection of quick recipes for a party to celebrate with your own ‘man of the month’.

Now this is the kind of cookbook I can get behind. It's got some great, easy to accomplish recipes that we've been hearing about throughout the Man of the Month series. But even better is that it's interspersed with a few scenes of some of our favorite couples! We get to catch up with some of our favorite couples (I'm looking at you Jenna and Reece!), but we also get the added benefit of a brand new couple! While I loved seeing what Nolan and Spencer and their ladies were up to, too, I loved that Kenner gives us Eric and Tiffany's story! Eric and Tiffany have been crushing on each other from afar with him not sure about acting on the attraction since she used to date his brother. Thanks to some meddling friends and a pitcher of margaritas, they're able to finally see if a relationship is worth pursuing. And because it's a Kenner book, the answer is, of course, yes...but there's going to be a catch. I am totally smitten with The Fix and I'm really sad that this place and these characters don't actually exist...but at least now I can make a batch of Pinot Punch.
