What if you rescued a dog from the shelter and found out it happens to talk? Odd as it might seem this is not a book of the paranormal genre, but it is a really cute cozy mystery about a P I named Nala with a talking dog as a partner. I don't know if this sounds odd to you or not but the dog is as diva-like as possible and coupled with Nala’s sarcasm the banter between them makes for a fun read. While this might sound like a whimsical cozy, it had fun, really well-developed characters. Characters with much more depth than you would expect in a cozy. It’s also a really modern cozy with your computer nerd friend and parents who take cruises as well as a mom who has a business. In the middle of a larger town for most cozy settings, a huge Comic Con is going on with all of your favorite comic superheroes attending, well at least people dressed in their costumes, and it all makes it a little crazy and fun. I liked this up-to-date city-slicker kind of cozy mystery. M.K. Scott has plenty of series with really good reviews. This one happens to be Book 3 in a series titled “The Talking Dog Detective Agency”. While this book can easily stand alone as a good read, it looks to me like we’d better check out her other books too. ***This book was provided to me free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

You must read this one!! Enjoyable read and I loved it. Well thought out and well written. The story flows and characters are fleshed out. Abby has had her identity stolen. She hires Nala to take her case. Abby hasn't used her credit card, She hasn't been out. Nala's mother called, her business credit card is being used by someone. Will Nala be able to solve these cases? How will she go about it? Elvin, Max the talking dog, Harry, and Karly bring humor to the story. Tips are given on how you can protect yourself from identity theft and what you should do it it does happen. Get a copy and come along with Nala and Max as they work to solve these cases. Will you figure out who the thief is before they do? I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the author and I'm voluntarily posting a review. My opinion is entirely my own.

Having read and loved the first two books in this series, I was eager to read the third. Nala and her canine partner, Max are back and on the trail of an identity thief. What starts as a single case soon grows and touches Nala personally. While her parents are on a cruise, someone is stealing from her mother’s design business and Nala is tasked with finding the culprit. Harry, who has an office in her building, and Elvin, her long-time friend and technology expert, become involved and help to advance the case. Max has difficulty remembering when to talk and when to be quiet, often with hilarious results. With Officer Goodnight, a former possible love interest, seemingly out of contention, she meets Sawyer, who might be interested in sharing office space and maybe something more? Anyone who has ever wished their pet could talk will love this series and the characters who populate it, both old and new. This book features a trip to Comic Con with all its costumes and characters and it is not to be missed! Another fun case in this always charming and entertaining series!

BARK TWICE FOR DANGER by M K. Scott Having read the first and enjoyed, was glad she has a second one. Abby checking email, got notice a package had been delivered. she hadn’t ordered anything. Now a flight to Bermuda. Her file box was empty, someone has been in her apartment in last 6 months. She calls a P I , not sure, till Nala says she uses Max her dog to help solve. Comic Con in town, a lot of Idenity thief going on. Interesting plot, the thief was striking close to people Nala knew. Readers will enjoy how Max and Nala figure it out. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
