Michael Vey 3
I’m Michael Vey. Last night I had a really weird dream. I was back home in Idaho, sitting at the table with the cool kids in the cafeteria at Meridian High School. (For the record, I’m not one of the cool kids.) My girlfriend, Taylor (who is one of the cool kids), was sitting on my right side in her cheerleading outfit. My best friend, Ostin, was on my left, eating cheese pizza and garlic bread. The rest of the table was filled with a bunch of cheerleaders and basketball players. As usual, Ostin and I looked as out of place as chocolate doughnuts at a Weight Watchers meeting.

The school’s basketball team was joking with me like they did at Maddie’s party, calling me “Li’l Norris”—short for little Chuck Norris—and trying to outdo one another with their Li’l Norris jokes.

Drew, the basketball team’s star point guard, said, “Li’l Norris is so tough, dark is afraid of him.”

“Yeah?” said Spencer. “Li’l Norris is so tough that the road in front of Meridian High used to be called Li’l Norris Street, but it was changed because no one crosses Li’l Norris and lives.”

Everyone laughed except Ostin, who looked confused. “I don’t think it was ever really called Li’l Norris Street,” he said.

“Shhh,” I said. “It’s a joke.”

“Yeah?” said Drew. “Monsters check under their beds to make sure Li’l Norris isn’t there.”

“I got it; I got it,” Spencer said. “Li’l Norris is so tough that he died ten years ago but Death is too afraid to tell him.”

Everyone was laughing when a low, angry voice behind me said, “If Li’l Norris is so tough, why is he hiding in the jungle?”

I turned around to see Dr. Hatch standing behind me. I was paralyzed with fear. Suddenly everyone else vanished and it was just the two of us. Hatch leaned forward, close enough that I could feel his breath and see his eyes through the dark lenses of his sunglasses.

“I’m going to find you, Vey,” he whispered. “And when I do, I’m going to hurt you.”

That’s when I woke up in the jungle.

A Zappingly Exciting Read! After an impatient year- long wait, I was excited to read Michael Vey 3: Battle of the Ampere,  the latest installment in Richard Paul Evans gripping series featuring Michael Vey and the Electroclan.    It was even better than I had anticipated.  I was totally blown away! The end of MV2 left us breathless and left Michael Vey, his mother and his friends still in the jungles of Peru.   Michael has become separated from the rest after a harrowing ordeal with the Elgen. With his mother finally safe as told to him by an old friend, Michael together with new friend Tessa, eventually reunites with his Electroclan.   The brave and loyal band of cohorts face many obstacles that just might keep them from their ultimate mission, to sink the Ampere and dethrone the devilish Hatch who has become more powerful than anyone could have imagined.    This book keeps readers glued to every page.   Even tears will find you in this shockingly, exciting emotional chapter of the Michael Vey series. Richard Paul Evans does an fantastic job at keeping both kids and adults interested and engaged in all of the books in the Michael Vey series.  RPE is truly a master storyteller that has kept the energy and sparks flying throughout this fun adventure.    I will be recommending this book to everyone.

Michael Vey the Ampere Bang! Bang! Boom! Michael vey the ampere an action packed thriller by Richard Paul Evans. This book is about a group of teens with amazing powers all based on electricity. Some can shoot lightning bolts others can electrocute technology and take their information. This book had a lot of great comedy. When you are reading this book one minute you will jumping with joy others you will be scared and biting your nails. Everyone can relate to this book. Kids can relate to this book extremely well. When everyone reads this book you will be at the edge of your seat. This book is a must read!

This is a great follow-up to the first two books. It is an exciting book that keeps you on the edge of your chair throughout the book. I would love to see this a series of movies like Harry Potter. It is a great read for anyone over 9 years of age.

I loved the first two books, this one, not so much. I loved the creative ideas of the first two, they were original and hilarious! My only complaint would be the fat shaming that Ostin received, it was unnecessary and honestly, pretty offensive. But my main complaint about the third Michael Vey is that the beginning is utterly racist. There are snide comments about how a tribe has bones in their noses and they wear dresses completely made of leaves which is not the most offensive thing, but it is pretty cliche. The worst part was when Michael said that they found their practices and appearances strange and weird. Also, I thought the quality of the writing declined a lot. It had no detail and repeated words very often. Overall, I found the book childish, offensive and boring. Would not recommend.

1. Character development, Torture session, expected but still awesome comeback 2. Antagonist development, introduce a new problem, rescues, explosions, and SCIENCE! 3. And then new expected flat character, mysterious people fighting Elgen lamely explained, very over used 'Oh we have to die to save the world' then they are miraculously have happy ever after then...Words to make a sequel

Loved! Loved! Loved! And I'm in the book club, so I would know. However, I suggest you read the first book of the Micheal Vey series. UGH! I wish there was a fourth book to this series

I bought this book for the cover, I'll admit. But the story inside lived up to my expectation. Teens with supernatural power is sort of my thing, and this book gets me reeved up right where it counts.

I love the series and i think its really cool. Book #1: The Prisoner of Cell 25- Book one is awesome. It is about Michael Vey, a teen that has electric powers. He keeps it secret (duh) and only his mom and his best friend Ostin know. When these kids fight him he accidentally kind of purposefully shocks them. Taylor , a cheerleader, sees him do his. He finally tells her and finds out that she has powers to. She can reboot people and confuse them. They find out tht the evil elgen are looking for them an go to fiht tem after the take his mom. That is all i will tell you so that i dont spoil it. Btw it is so ag appropriate and i think it is a reading level of 10 andup

Most books usually don’t the full 5 stars but I definitely would give this book 5 stars. This book is very exciting once you start reading it, you can’t stop reading it. It’s a drama, adventure, exciting, etc. If you are reading this review I would totally buy this book, its definitely worth your money.
