Overview
The idea of this compilation seems pretty appealing -- a collection displaying the spiritual side of one of pop-country's most beloved and popular singers. Nobody delivers a great story-song like Rogers, and "A Soldier's King" and "Find a Little Grace" paint some lovely images. And "Have a Little Faith," which finds Rogers stretching more vocally, has a cool anthemic quality to it. "Sweet Little Jesus Boy" has a pretty vocal choir intro that sounds like Take 6. To find more Rogers in this vein, check his wonderful first Christmas recording and "Mary Did You Know" from his third Christmas album, a stirring duet with Wynonna.
