The end of the world is a lonely place.

I've wandered empty streets, squatted in abandoned apartments, and fled from the few who have survived the apocalypse. Men are as dangerous as the reanimated dead and will just as soon kill you as look at you. No one can be trusted.

Except for Big Bob. There is nothing like having a friend, a big friend, during the end of days.

A short story must get off the ground running to be considered a success. It's not like a novel which can take it's time and introduce the plot and characters slowly. It has to grab your attention immediately either through it's characters or plot. Big Bob does just that and even goes the extra mile with a sense of style in it's words. I was hooked from the first line. Jason Brant has a talent for telling outstanding stories with rich characters, a kickass plot, lots of humor and twists that can only be considered Brantinian. Yeah I made up a word but that's the only way to describe some of the mind boggling twists in his stories. Normally I see them coming but I've quit trying to guess what he'll come up with next because I'm usually way off. Big Bob has so much to offer. It has a character that you're immediately drawn to, a plot that completely skips the gas pedal and just goes for mach 10 and of course that Brantinian twist I told you about. Not only that but the words create such a clear picture in your mind that you take a trip right alongside the characters and experience everything they do. I am always surprised by how authors who I already consider to be great authors continually keep getting even better. What's better than better? Bester? Bestest? Besterest? It's a good thing I'm not a writer because I'm not sure what the word is but it applies to Jason Brant. I can't really talk about the plot even though I'm dying to but I will say it left a pretty big grin on my face and I had to immediately reread it again the second I was through. It's just one of those stories that you can't read just once. Nor do you want to read it just once. It's just that good.
