Are you ready for Act III, Sentinel Pass?
I have a confession to make. By the time I finished writing book seven in the Sentinel Pass series, I felt like I’d exhausted the setting and was ready to move on. But then I caught a YouTube video of some extreme athletes competing in a Parkour competition and a voice in my head said: stuntwoman.
In Black Hills Rancher, Cade Garrity, Kat’s newly returned brother, has agreed to run their father’s ranch for the interim because he’s pretty sure he’s failing at being a single dad. The last thing he needs/wants is to get mixed up in some Hollywood mayhem that involves Jessie Bouchard, the beautiful stuntwoman he hired to babysit his daughter. As if her job description isn’t dangerous enough, Jessie also seems to have picked up a stalker.
We do leave the Black Hills briefly in Black Hills Stranger when Jessie’s twin sister, Remy, returns to her old home town in Louisiana. Her intent is to sell the house she and Jessie inherited then move to the Black Hills to make a fresh start. But when her first love needs her help to find his missing daughter, Remy can’t say no--even if it puts her heart--and her life--on the line.
Wrapping up the series, we return to the Hills for Black Hills Legacy to solve not one, but two, mysteries. After Robyn Craine bought the Mystery Spot from Jenna Murphy, she used funds from her late mother’s estate to expand the venerable tourist trap. Robyn doesn’t have time to babysit Sentinel Passtime actor Liam Temple --especially when she figures out his connection to the wealthy businessman/ politician trying to sabotage her new project.
