I love that Kira kissed Luke instead of going for the obvious choice. In my opinion Tristan should have seen right through her act but he was too busy in his own wonder land.He didnt bother to ask about how she will feel when she doesnt grow old and has to watched her family die.Tristan was being selfish and I like tht through all of it Kira wasnt fooled at all by aludrich. Kira isnt stupid she knew it was all a mixed up lie.I felt my emotions stirring during the departure scence when she was leaving and she knew what she was doing.I knew right then that she loved him.I knew even in the first book from when she first layed her eyes on him.Damn even Tristan knew but didnt want to believe it. Luke is perfect for her and Im so happy by this ending because I cant think of a better one.Its unpredictable and I garantee you will love this book. For all those Tristan fans out there, you guys need to reread this book and look deeper than just the written words theres always a meaning and if you guys dont feel like rereading then listen to this.Luke was there from the start, saving her when she needed saving, saving her from herself at times. This relationship wasnt just meant to be friends even if you cant see it from the start. There doesnt have to be any trouble, why date your mortal enemy. When you know that your parents could have died because there love was shunned and yet you guys want her to run off with the one guy who actually isnt right for her.Kira can be open to Luke about her powers and wont get any crap about it,he will be there when she loses control and he will bring her back to reality. He is comfort and her very special rock.As for Tristan he cant help her when she loses control,he cant help her with her powers.Thats why in the book he was just so ready for her to become like him that way he wouldnt have to worry about her powers. He didnt even realize that it would possibly hurt her emotionally I get it they love eachother thats great until someone has to make a life changing decision that could effect their life forever.

Overall I thought this was an enjoyable book. It was well written and easy to get into. However I didnt like the fact Kira was very fickle about her love interest. In the first two books she talks about how much she loves Tristan and all that and how Luke is just a friend. The first two books tend to mold her life around Tristan. I have never been a huge fan of the whole love triangle thing. One of the things I liked best about the other two books is that she never doubted Tristan was "the one." I suppose you could say I'm a Tristan fan, that I'm biased; and that may be. I like Luke a lot though. He was always a great friend to Kira. I just think it shouldd have stayed that way, that he was just a friend. I especially didnt like how in the end Kira seemed to not care about Tristans feelings anymore. I thought it was slughtly childish of her. "Tristan cant be here right now. Lets go for Luke instead." Is the message I think she sent. As i said I really liked the other books in this series up to this point. I just wish the author had played this differently.

The ending did nothing for me whyy did the author do that #annoying. Kira should have dated luke in the first book.

I absolutly LOVE this series! I couldnt put it down. Seriously though Luke and Kira? And Triston is now human? I hope that Triston and Kira get back together in the next book. But it was totally worth the money! I think that if you are fan of Twilight then you will love this series!

This is a good series. I could not put the book down. It is intense and emotional. I cant wait.for the next book to come out, im hooked. At first I was a Luke fan, but now im not sure. As the second book went on I started leaning towards Tristan. Now im not sure anymore. I think that no matter how grown up Kira thinks she is, she is far from it. She has not matured at all through this series. She frusterates me to no end with her babbling, I think both of them are better off without her. At the same time I think all three should end up together. I don't like.the way it ended. I thought it was rushed and deviated away from its prime attraction to the book. I am turned off at how Kira can switch her love so easily and quickly. Although I really am anxious for the 4th book to see how everything turns out.

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book as a gift from the author. Thanks to Kaitlyn Davis!) This is book 3 in the ‘Midnight Fire’ series, and kicks off a short time after the end of book 2 ‘Simmer’. **Warning, some unavoidable spoilers for books 1 &2** After the revelations at the end of book 2 ‘Simmer’, Kira is determined to follow Aldrich to England to see if he’s telling the truth and he really is holding her mother captive. Unfortunately though, the only way Kira can make it to England is to leave Luke behind, something she finds really difficult to do, and something that nags at her and upsets her. Even though Luke is only a friend, losing him is something that she really couldn’t bear. Arriving in England, Kira is hoping that Aldrich really does have her mother, and that she will finally see her in real life for the first time she can remember. Not all is as it seems though, and Kira is about to find out that nothing ever comes easy for her. Does Aldrich really have Kira’s mother? Can Luke ever forgive her for ditching him? What developments will there be in Kira and Tristan’s relationship? And what surprises lie in store for Kira this time? Well, Kaitlyn Davis really did ramp up the heat in this instalment, both romantically, and in terms of the escalating storyline! Kira is focused on finding out if Aldrich really has her mother in this instalment, and she’s got the drive and determination to really go for what she wants, even though she knows that her actions may hurt Luke. I really liked how Kira was brave enough and bold enough to follow her desires to try and find her mother, no matter how small the possibility that she was still alive, but I also liked that Kira was human enough to feel guilt about how she deceived Luke, and to worry about whether their friendship would survive. The love triangle continued in this book, even though Luke got left behind, and again I found it difficult to know who Kira should choose. I personally have decided who I think she should be with now having read ‘Blaze’, but with some major developments at the end of this book, it seriously still hangs in the balance as to who Kira will choose! I’ve picked a side though, and I’m going with Team Luke (strange because I don’t usually choose the underdog!). I liked the storyline in this book, I liked how this book was about Kira following her heart, but how there were still developments in the overall storyline of the series. There was plenty of action at the end of this book, and I liked the twists that I really didn’t see coming! These developments are certainly going to make for a gripping end to the series! Overall; a great paranormal YA, with a unique take on vampires, that continues to get better book by book! 7.5 out of 10.

Stormflower beamed at her kits. "Congratz you four!" She purred. She licked her three kits heads. "I'm so proud of you!" <p> Ashfeather quickly ducked out of the way, then padded to her older sister. "Hey, Blueheart." She said. "When does my vigil begin?" ((I want Ashfeather to have problems within this Clan. Someone scold her or something to make her angry!))
