Tremendous insight into a complex, multitalented, genuine person. Bono goes deep to put forth his values and commitments to equality and justice for all. Michka, the author, gets down to business in a series of interviews, both in person and over the phone, at some very interesting periods. The book is wrought with Bono's efforts to uplift the downtrodden. I'm not Liberal by any means, but his efforts truly are, nothing less than compelling. I really was able to elicit some very positive perspectives on situations that, for all practical purposes, are seemingly hopeless. It makes me understand why fighting can be beneficial, even though introspect can sometimes be painful as well.

I have been a U2 fan since I was 13 years old, and I have always been in awe of Bono until I read this book. He is just an ordinary man with lofty dreams, like so many of us, but he has the ability to make those dreams come true because of his celebrity. I applaud his efforts and I am glad there is somebody in this world who cares for the downtrodden as he does.

I have always wondered what made him tick and what he thinks about, even down to the average everyday things of life. It is good to hear him discuss his thoughts on religion, politics and world charity. I think many people think that Bono is just a Rock & Roller with a big mouth and no substance...well here is some insight. It will change your mind. He is a great human being, as well as a great musician.

I would recommend this book for anyone who is curious as to why Bono is the way he is-his religion, family and friends all made him the way he is. My favorite chapters were on his activism and why he goes about caring so much for the poor. Well written book about a wonderfully unique person.

What a great book. Simply fantastic. Bono in his own words. Michka does quite an extraordinary job of getting Bono to spill it all. From his father, to his band mates, to politics, to religion. I've always admired Bono for his heart, but man does this book make you fall in love with him. This book is a must have for anyone looking for inspirations, for anyone looking for hope, and for anyone who wants to believe. Thanks you Michka, thank you Bono!!!

The seriously is the best book I've ever read. No comment I could make about it, would do it justice. Just buy it. Read it. You won't beable to put it down. It is enlightening to say the least. You will be changed. Kudos to Michka for making his dream of writing this book a reality and thank you to Bono for making this world a better place.

I am a pretty big U2 fan, but I have always been very into Bono, his politics and personality. Most of the magazine interviews through the years have been only about music, so this is a really great insight into what makes Bono tick. He is very honest about himself and humble. I am not finished with the book, but can't wait to get back to it...I really recommend it to people who might be interested in U2, Bono or making the world more peaceful.
