Brilliant White Peaks

I was born to a happy wolf family, but a cold and desperate winter changed everything.

Two moons ago, in the summer heat, I played in the lake with my sister White-Ears, where I caught fish with my superior skills and rubbed it in her face. We ran around the safe place and played hide-the-bone.

One moon ago, the air was colder, but I was stronger. We hunted every day with Ma and Pa and Scruff-Paw. I ate more elk than I could imagine.

I thought life would always be like this.
