Pro quarterback, Ethan Christopher thought he had found his home when he met rock musician, Mia Devereux. She was the welcomed distraction in his football-focused life.

Things may not have been perfect. Their individual careers made being together difficult. Her touring. His away schedule. As her success grew, they spent more extended periods apart.

But at the end of the day, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Only her.

When Mia met Ethan, she felt a connection unlike any she'd ever felt. She gave him more of herself than she thought was even possible.

But she knew it wasn't enough. There was a lot she didn't share, couldn't give him.

An event two decades in her past made sure of that.

Those demons that she'd so carefully tucked away wanted out. As Mia struggled with the stress of touring and being apart from Ethan, her defenses weakened, allowing the demons to fight their way to the surface, leaving her in a vulnerable place. A place where bad choices were made.

Choices that both of them will regret.

Can Mia and Ethan's love survive her past? Or will it fall apart under the weight of her choices?

About the Author

During the day, Ryleigh is an analyst, but even then, she’s writing, sneakily crafting scenes on post-it notes. She's been told she's a bit of a geek...some say nerd. She'll agree to it all. She loves music. It's been a force in her life for as long as she can remember. Her love of Star Wars and superheroes has probably been going on just as long...see, this is where the geek/nerd thing comes into play. But, most of all, Ryleigh loves the written word. She's been writing for a long time. Her first story came to her during one of her history classes. She wrote it in the margins of her notebook in teeny tiny letters so no one knew that she was writing a book instead of taking notes on 16th Century Europe. She currently lives in Chicago, Illinois, with her husband and son, along with her Siberian Husky, Mick Jagger, and her cat, Winston Churchill.

This spellbinding tale has monopolized my thoughts since the moment I started it, it seeped into my soul and completely took over. These characters are amazing down to the finest detail, they drew me in, made me feel the heartbreak, love, and agony behind every word. Their chemistry is undeniable and so powerful, they have heat in spades. I cannot wait to see how this all ends, bring on the second book! If it is anything like this one I know I am going to love every single word!! Highly recommend this one, it's chocked full of emotion that will squeeze your heart, smoldering chemistry to curl your toes, and some unforgettable characters you'll never want to say goodbye to!

The richness of the characters pulled me in from the first page. I enjoyed watching Luke and Mia's past unfold, all while she was moving forward in her relationship with Ethan. I was also intrigued about Mia's past throughout the book, as she is so reluctant to share details of it with Ethan. When I reached the part where they had to part ways for music and football, their feelings of unease really resonated with me; that fear of the unknown in a budding relationship and the strain that distance can create is all too real. I really like that BMY had a realistic view on long-distance relationships. The difficulties that they encounter being so far from one another kept me turning page after page to see what would happen next between them. Mia's inability to talk with Ethan about her past and her feelings made their road even rockier and led them to the end of the book. I truly enjoyed how real these characters were in both their feelings and actions. Not every romance goes straight to HEA and I appreciate that there is more to Ethan and Mia's love story. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment of their romance.

I love a good sports romance. What I love even more is when a story transcends its genre and becomes so much more. This book is definitely more. Ethan is a pro football player and Mia is the lead singer of a band. They are introduced through Mia’s friend Luke and there’s an instant attraction. Then that attraction turns into…more. They begin to feel for each other a way that neither has ever felt before. The problem is, they are both at the precipice of big things in their respective careers, which means trying to build a relationship on extended periods apart. But, they persevere because they love each other. Ethan knows that Mia is the one, but what he doesn’t know is that Mia is keeping a big part of herself from him. It’s self-preservation, but it also may mean the end to something really beautiful for them both. This is a book that grabs you from the beginning and doesn’t let go. You feel the attraction, desire and connection between Mia and Ethan, and that’s the cornerstone of what made this story work so well for me. The characters were very realistic for me. So realistic that there were many moments I would have liked to slap or choke them. But, that’s what drives a story like this, bad decisions based off of past wounds that you have a hard time blaming the character for. It works. I will warn you that this book does end in a cliffhanger. I will say that this is a book that needed a follow up, but that doesn’t mean I’m happy about being left hanging. Dammit. Overall, I did really enjoy this book. It’s basically what I want every book of this genre to be when I sit down to read it. Engaging and frustrating and enjoyable to read. 4.5 stars. First things first this is the first book I have read by this Author and I was not disappointed one bit. We meet Mia, Ethan and Luke. First Luke and Mia are long time friends and use to be with ( benefits ). Luke has a sweet little girl that Mia loves like her own. Luke arranges for Ethan and Mia to meet and when they do sparks fly. Ethan was ready to meet and fine the one, when he lays eyes on Mia he is blown away. their chemistry is through the roof and they have a whirlwind love. Thing happen when their careers butt heads. Ethan is a star Quarter Back and Mia and up an coming Rock Star. When he season keeps him away and Mia on a world wide tour makes it harder to be with each other the pressure of the tour and him focusing on the playoffs, Mia's passed problem and insecurity put a mix into their beautiful relationship, but with keeping her past to herself and he not handling being apart put a Hugh strain on them, can they come back to being one or will it tear them apart . Super Amazing story I am blown away. I Highly Recommend this story.

* I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review. * This is author Ryleigh Andrews debut novel and it was an amazing one at that!! What an emotionally charged book this is!!  She has such strong story telling skills that it made her seem like this was her 10th book and not her first!  Every time I felt like I had a grasp on the story, author Ryleigh Andrews pulled the rug out from under me!  She was able to take the reader on an amazing journey complete with enough twists, turns, loops and curves that the reader is never able to predict just what may happen next. Mia was such a complex character and one that I immediately felt as if she just needed a break in her life.  Mia got her break, but it may also break her heart, spirit and mind.  I loved the interaction with Luke and his daughter and will admit that I was upset when they didn't get together, but I understood what had to happen to Mia and Luke.  Ethan, he seemed like a dream come true to both Mia and myself but by the end of the story I wasn't so sure...I admit that I have thought about this book and these characters long after I have finished reading the book....they are just that remarkable and memorable to the reader. The characters are well developed, the storyline is fun, exciting and the author kept the reader guessing. She was a master at weaving all of the separate threads together to make a complete fully blended story.  This book made me laugh, cry, gasp and at times yell at the characters. The author takes the reader through just about every emotion there is and then the book ends...with a cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers!!  "I'll see you in 5 weeks....." Make sure you add this book to your TBR list!! I know that I am already eagerly anticipating the next book in the series!! I need to know what happens and I need to know now!!  This book is an amazing read that will leave you craving the next installment! Do yourself a favor and get it now!!  Enjoy ~  ***Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official.  ***
