About the Author

Christine Henry lives in Vancouver, Canada, with her husband, son, a police drop-out shepherd and two attack cats. The family lives on the edge of a thriving old-growth forest with abundant wildlife. There she gets her inspiration for her art projects and children's stories. Ms Henry discovered her love for painting when she joined an adult painting group. Storytelling began at motherhood, recounting lighthearted stories of family adventures, fairies, animals and especially cats to her then-young son. Thus began the story of Burt, the elusive black cat, combined with her own whimsical illustrations.
