About the Author

Denise Canellos is a Nutritionist specializing in chronic disease and oncology. She earned her Masters of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and is a Board Certified Nutrition Specialist by the American College of Nutrition. She teaches Human Nutrition and Medical Nutrition Therapy at Chapman University in Orange, California.

Denise became a Nutritionist after losing her first husband to colon cancer.  There was so little good information available during his treatment, Denise set out to get her degree and spread the word about the science of nutrition and how it impacts chronic illness.

Often nutrition seems like a confusing jumble. When you are hit with a serious diagnosis, it is frightening and often you feel helpless. You can have some control in this situation by eating the best way possible.

Denise helps you cut through the hype. The science tells us what heals, and what does not. The sense of peace you can have when you know that you are making a positive impact on your health speeds healing for both body and mind.

Denise can be reached at . You can learn more about Denise, and read more about her views on nutrition at www.denisecanellos.com.
