Cannibal, Volume 2 based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
The second volume of Cannibal speeds full throttle into the bayou's cannibal virus and how a small community is dealing with it. I was surprised how quickly the story progressed. Other writers would have dwelt on some of the scenes for pages and pages. While I enjoyed that change of pace the read was very fast. The art is still perfectly suited for the book. I want to read more and see this play out from different points of view. Overall, a very good book.
The cannibalism spreads with obvious consequences This comic collection continues with the idea that cannibalism (caused by a virus) is sweeping this area of Florida. More characters get involved and fall victim to the virus. There's a fair amount of violence and death. In light-brown tones, the illustrations are well-conceived and the plot moves along at a reasonable pace. The lettering in the digital edition is tight and therefore a bit hard to read. Good collection – more to come in another volume. This follows on directly from Volume 1 (which I had to read again to remind myself of the plot) so new readers need to read that first for this to make sense.
