Can't Stop Lovin' You by Lynnette Austin

A standalone, second-chance romance in Lynnette Austin's Maverick Junction series!

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME

Maggie Sullivan can't wait to get out of Texas. Luckily, she just got the break she needed to make her big-city dreams a reality. But then Brawley Odell swaggers back into Maverick Junction, looking hotter than ever in his dusty cowboy boots and well-worn jeans. He's the guy she still dreams of at night. The guy who broke her heart when he left her behind.

Fed up with city life, Brawley jumps at the chance to return home and take over the local vet's practice-and get back to the smart, sassy woman he's never been able forget. He couldn't be prouder of Maggie's new wedding-dress business... until he realizes it may mean losing her all over again. Determined to win her back, Brawley must find a way to convince Maggie that their one true home is with each other.

About the Author

Lynnette Austin loves Starbucks, peppermint patties, and long rides with the top down and the music cranked up! One of the great things about writing is that daydreaming is not only permissible but encouraged. She grew up in Pennsylvania, moved to New York, then to Wyoming, and presently divides her time between Florida's beaches and Georgia's mountains. She's been a finalist in RWA's Golden Heart Contest, PASIC's Book of Your Heart Contest, and Georgia Romance Writers' Maggie Contest. Having grown up in a small town, that's where her heart takes her-to those quirky small towns where everybody knows everybody...and all their business, for better or worse.

"Can't Stop Lovin' You" by Lynnette Austin was another sweet contemporary romance that seems like all this author is able to do in all her beautifully written 'Maverick Junction' series. In this series number three, the story was of Brawley and Maggie. Brawley had left town to attend college in Dallas and leaving his girlfriend so that she would go and achieve her career that she loved that involved designing her fashions. But was that the right move for Brawley to leave because after he leaves we find from the read that Maggie has discovered she is...well I don't want to spoil it for you so you will have to read to find this out. Now, Brawley has returned to his hometown of 'Maverick Junction' and he seems to want to pick up where he left off with Mag. However, it had been ten years and Maggie has moved on with her life now planning to move to a new life with her fashion career in New York. Brawley is back in town to 'take over old Doc Gibson's vet practice' since his retirement. What happens when the table is turned for Brawley now that Maggie leaves for New York? What will happen as these two go back and forth with many twist and turns that will leave you wondering will they be able to talk and come to the right decision on whether they will be able to forgive each other in the 'heart wrenching' story. In the end this author gives the reader a interesting story all the way to the end . "Can't Stop Lovin' You" is the third in this series and can be read as a stand alone but to really understand the whole story in this town of 'Maverick Junction' I would recommend that you read series 1 and 2 also. You will find all three a beautiful romantic read!

I can't stop lovin' Lynn Austin's books. Her characters are always unique and complex. Maggie and Brawley made me think of two of Michael Bolton's big hits: How Can We Be Lovers If We Can't Be Friends?-- and: How Am I Supposed To Live Without You (after I've been lovin' you so long)? These two have loved each other forever, but they can't seem to get rid of past hurts long enough to do something about it. A wonderful cast of supporting characters, including the little spot on the Texas map known as Maverick Junction will have you turning pages well into the night.

Maggie Sullivan has been dreaming of this day for years, the day she would be able to leave her small town life behind, and introduce her designs on the big city runway. With a deal on the table, her designs becoming a reality, she is ready to grasp this new opportunity with both hands and enjoy every minute of it... but then something unexpected happens...a sexy something unexpected. The man who walked away and broke her heart to bits is now back home in Maverick Junction, and ready to mend the heart he broke. But forgiving him just isn't in the cards for her, he took something from her that isn't easily replaced, so leaving town and him behind is her best course of action. But he isn't so willing to let her slip away a second time... Brawley Odell knows he screwed up royally when he turned his back on the woman who held his heart all those years ago, at the time he thought he was doing what was right for both of them... but he couldn't have been more wrong. He has tried to replace the love he had with her, with others, but no one has ever been able to hold a candle to her, she was a once in a lifetime kind of girl. When an opportunity of a lifetime comes along, and will take him back to his hometown of Maverick Junction, and back to Maggie, he decides it's time to go home and make amends. But once he is there his plan to make amends and win the girl back hits a little snag, she's leaving town... Every time I make a visit to Maverick Junction I fall deeper in love with these wonderful, eccentric characters that Ms. Austin has brought to life, each one brings something special to the table and I thoroughly enjoy every minute I get to spend with them. From the first page they will pull you into their world, make you feel right at home, and then their southern charm is sure to hit you in waves, and warm your heart right up! These two were a real treat to meet, Brawley had his work cut out for him, and it was fun to watch him try to work his way back into Maggie's good graces.... and boy did she make him work for it!! If you like second chance romances rich with heartfelt emotion, then I highly recommend you meet these two, their wonderfully crafted story is sure to warm your heart, and give you just what your looking for... a truly unforgettable literary escape!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is book 3 in the series and I have read and loved every single story in this series. This book can stand alone though you might understand the story and some scenes better if you read the series from the begining. This is dress designer Maggie's story and well it is a fun one. Maggie has lived in Maverick Junction her whole life and at a time when she would have gone off to college she was taking care of her sick grandma and then her grandfather after she died. IN that time she learned to be a dress designer and opened a very successfu dress store. One of her clients is the heroine from the first book and she helped get her noticed by a guy in NY who offered her, her own brand of clothing and fashion show. The book opens up two weeks before she is moving to NY for her new job and with her childhood sweetheart Brawley, the new vet in town. He dumped her when she was 18 and has been dating super models in Dallas and is now home for good and so he wants to be with Maggie. I LOVED that Maggie gives him a very hard time. She does not forgive him for 80% of the book and well I beyond loved that. She also goes to NY and we get to follow with her and her new life and I really loved that. This book was a realy well written and enjoyable romance about a scond chance at love couple. Add in all their family and friends and I really loved this story. It was a realy wonderfu way for this series to end with all the chidhood friends getting their happily ever after.

This book is # 3, in the Maverick Junction series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Brawley is moving back to his hometown. He wants to take back the one who got away. Only she is about to make a second slip right through his fingers. Again. Can the secrets of the past be overcome to find the happiness they deserve? Maggie is finally getting her dreams to come true with this big move to New York. While it is far from her Texas home, it provides opportunity and customers she needs to get her dress designing firmly off the ground. What she may pay in the end is a different story. This series is just as sweet as it is sassy. This book was the one I held my breath for. Let me tell you, it is absolutely worth it! Characters like these, are why I read romance. They have the spark about to ignite, and just need a little flame. ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Maverick Junction is the place everyone tries to walk away from, but just can't live without. Lynnette Austin takes a sugary sentiment and makes it her own. Can't Stop Lovin' You runs away with an old fashioned adage we all know and love, but do everything we can to ignore. Through sentiment, valuable lessons and heartwarming characters, Ms. Austin proves that home is more than a place, it's the people that make this life worthwhile.

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. This book is part of a series, this is the third book, and it continues with another syrupy love story from Maverick Junction. It was a second chance story, this time it's about Maggie and Brawley, who were high school sweethearts. Brawley left town, and broke Maggie's heart, and now she is about to embark on the time of her life, where her business will take off, and then who shows back up. Brawley, and he is determined to make up with her, so what happens? Do they reunite? Well they do get their HEA, but it is a journey, so read it, and go thru it with them.

Great read as usual..The  author transports you to Maverick Junction, Texas into the lives of Brawley  and Maggie and she has you internally encouraging them to solve they old issues and move on to  their lives together,They belong together and why can't they see that .In your heart you know they will but human nature often lets things slip away ...A reminder  to appreciate each day's gifts as they come to us..Never take anything or anyone  for granted...Very enjoyable story, and looking forward to seeing what direction our characters go next..

Loved it! Read it in one day; had been awaiting publication of the third book in the series, and was delighted again by Lynnette Austin's characters. Romance at its best--multi-layered hero and a spunky, loving heroine in a struggle to find love. The reader begins to feel that Maverick Junction really exists; one can imagine driving through town and eating at Bubba's, and perhaps seeing Dottie working in her garden. Lynnette Austin has written a fast-paced romance that keeps you on a see-saw of emotions as her characters work out their past relationship, losses, and work toward forgiveness and love. The descriptions of modern Western cowboys who are real men, complex and sexy, will make you want to go to Texas to get you one of them! Lynnette Austin has skillfully integrated several contemporary themes into the plot : choices which are integral to today's mobile society, such as leaving your home town to find success in the big city at the expense of family and friends. I am reluctant to leave Maverick Junction, now that I have become attached to the characters; will there be a 4th book to look forward to?? or must we say good-bye to characters we have come to love and a town we enjoyed?
