Carmine Galante

Carmine Galante died a violent death while enjoying a meal at a favorite Italian Restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. My e-book describes the murder of Galante and two others on July 12, 1979. I also look extensively at Galante's criminal career beginning with the murder of anti-Fascist editor, publisher and labor organizer Carlo Tresca, in January 1943. Tresca was shot dead outside his office near 5th Avenue in Manhattan. Hours earlier Carmine Galante was observed by detectives getting into the sedan which was found to be the murderer's getaway car. Held as a material witness, authorities could not pin the murder on Carmine. He was eventually returned to prison for parole violation.
