John Wallace is a seasoned veteran and long-time guardian of the parks and open spaces of the city of Santa Cruz. Wallace recounts stories from his younger days working as a firefighter in Moffett Field until the closure of his base by then-President Clinton led to him searching for newer pastures. One day he heard of an opening in Santa Cruz's Ranger Unit. Always wanting to serve the people of the city, he joined a small team of rangers in preserving the sanctity of the city's open spaces....
