Chan (simplified Chinese: ?; traditional Chinese: ?; pinyin: Chán; abbr. of Chinese: ??; pinyin: chánnà), from Sanskrit dhy?na, meaning "meditation" or "meditative state") is a school of Mah?y?na Buddhism combined with Taoism.
