Lorena McCourtney is the author of 52 books of mystery and romance. She had lived in Southern Oregon for many years but enjoys writing books set in all areas of the U.S. She has a degree in Agriculture but has not found this particularly useful in writing about killers and clues.

Lorena and her husband Jim recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. She has one son and one granddaughter, plus a "bonus" stepdaughter and several step-grandchildren. She enjoys reading and walking, especially on the beaches of Oregon.
