A housewife, two teenagers, a school teacher, an ex-singer, a deaf girl, an accountant, a book shop owner and a shop assistant - the Serendipity Book Shop are hosting their weekly Book Club meeting and tonight they are discussing the bestseller, "Chasing Pegasus". There is an air of anticipation as they will also be meeting the book's author, the reclusive and mysterious Franklin Storey.All begins relatively normally, but during the course of the evening, each member of the group begins to reveal their personal history and future dreams - caught in the spell of "Chasing Pegasus".

About the Author

A graduate of The Actors Institute, London (UK), SALLY McLEAN has appeared on the London stage in various productions including Macbeth, Hamlet, The Voice Circus, Uncle Vanya and the World Premier of Annabel's Requiem. She has also appeared on UK television, most notably as "Angie Powers" in the BAFTA & AFI award-winning BBC mini-series Bootleg.

On the Australian stage, her credits include roles in the professional productions of The Comedy of Errors, Romeo & Juliet, The Clairvoyant, The Auxiliary, Lovepuke and the Australian Premier of the off-Broadway hit I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change at the Athenaeum Theatre, Melbourne amongst others. Australian television credits include Lowdown, Flying Doctors, Neighbours, Fast Forward, Blue Heelers, Tonight Live, Elephant Princess and Comedy Inc. Film credits include Lightbringer, Without A Word, Interchange, Why Must The Show Go On?, Sleeper and the UK feature A Little Rain Must Fall.

As a screenwriter, director and producer Sally began her career in production at the BBC and has since written, directed and/or produced a number of successful films and plays under the banner of her production outfit, Incognita Enterprises (successor to Salmac Productions), established in 1997 under the honorary patronage of Oscar(r) nominated British actor, Sir Nigel Hawthorne.

Produced plays include Chasing Pegasus (a play in ten chords) (2006) and P.S. I Love You (2004) (set on the Melbourne Home Front during WWII). Completed films include the feature film A Little Rain Must Fall (1997) and short films fixNATION (2004), Brigit & Benny (a modern faerietale) (2005) and Why Must The Show Go On? (2010).

Other projects on her slate for production include the documentary Franz Stampfl: The Man Behind The Miracle Mile (working title), the feature film Dalny and two comedy series for TV. Her play P.S. I Love You is currently being adapted for broadcast under the title 'Till The Boys Come Home as a web TV drama series.
