Chess in Shahnameh

In the early 1990's while playing at the "Fenix Chess Club" in Borås Sweden, "Baktash" begins the difficult task of translating a limited segment of the lengthy story of chess as depicted in the "Shahnameh of Ferdowsi", the main Iranian national epic compiled by the world renowned 10th century CE Persian poet Ferdowsi.
