If you want to dig into Christian theology and learn more, but you're not ready for a long, academic volume, then Daryl Aaron's "Christian Theology for People in a Hurry" is exactly what you're looking for. Aaron's treatment of the basics of theology includes a definition of theology and goes on to systematically address the Bible, God, created beings and sin, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, salvation, the church, and the last things and heaven. It's theology in a nutshell--the most important things you need to know, expressed in an easily understandable way for the normal, everyday person and not an academic. The chapters are concise, easily readable and yet filled with an abundance of knowledge. Theologically sound and trustworthy, this handbook is a great addition to anyone's library. I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for this honest review. The opinons expressed are my own.
