If you’ve read Mistletoe Cottage, this little novella will bring in some new information and start to set the scene for a new romance –but if you aren’t familiar with that book, you really do want to grab BOTH books. Picking up where Mistletoe Cottage left off, it’s Michael’s turn to let off steam and get drunk – whinge to all your buddies drunk even if you are the one who changed your life plan from attorney to cop at the last minute, without feedback or consideration for your fiancé. So, she had her heart set on a high powered attorney, mover and shaker in the political arena – and he either never listened, or went along to get along – and it’s over. Then we have his ex-girlfriend, one he knows he treated badly years ago, and owes her an apology. Thing is, she’s always been around one on the wrong side of the law with her father, and she’s got history. Lots of it. But the attraction is still there….even if they are so different. Clever plotting and plenty of interaction to show these two as the second chance couple that might be. And this will be a fun one – their interactions are clever, sharp and the attraction between them is steamy and tense. Perfect set up, and reads just like a long prologue to a longer and more complex (and telling) story. Best read by those who have the background from Mistletoe Cottage, this is a clever little in-between novella to fuel interest in the upcoming Starlight Bridge. I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

A cute and very suspenseful Christmas story. I would recommend reading book one first, while the story stands alone, there was obviously some back story that I had missed going into it that I missed out on. Michael's long lost love, Shay, is back in town and seems to be in trouble. So, like any good romance hero, he sets off to save the day. But none of it goes as planned. He ends up in trouble himself and there are some really good secrets that come out at the end of the story. Debbie Mason drops just enough hints that I wasn't completely surprised, but it was still a great reveal when it happened. Almost too short to get a lot of romance in, but the characters already have a history, so the connection was in place. They just needed to reconnect. They don't quite do that (just warning you), but I think it might be something that happens in a future book at some point. **I voluntarily read a review copy of the book**

Christmas with an Angel is a quick interlude to introduce us to future characters in Debbie Mason’s Harmony Harbor series. It is a fun, quick read, but there is little romance and definitely no happy for now. I enjoyed seeing more of Michael and Shay and look forward to their story. If you aren’t a fan of teasers, this is not a good choice for you. I have a feeling that it will be a good read before their book comes out, I don’t know when. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novella.

If you wondered where Micheal was during the wedding. This will give you answers and a glimpse into the life of Shay. You see what was behind their parting those years ago and a side to Shay you may not have expected. I found this to be a great way to give more of both Michael and Shay without giving away too much. Next Christmas should be delightful.

Oh I hope we get more from these two!!! I thought this was going to be an entire story about Angel and Michael but it’s more like a prologue for a story to come and what a prologue it was! A short novella with a bit of everything, romance, action, intrigue and lots of fire between Michael and Angel, I really can’t wait for their book, after reading this I’m sure is going to be fantastic.

I read the first book in this new series, "Mistletoe Cottage" and so I was excited to read this book which is the second book in the series. It does stand alone but there are lots of side characters so to know who is who and what happened before I suggest reading the first book. This book while is #2 in the series I would call it 1.5. It is Shay and Michael's story and it happens right after the end of book 1. In it Michael has been abandoned by his bride, is sad and he hits his favorite bar. The bar is owned by Shay, his high school girlfriend who ended up in jail for stealing his car. Now she is out and both her and her uncle hate him. So when he hits the bar well things go flying. This about all I am spoiling. This was a fun intro to Shay and Michael. It is a very short book. I would estimate 60 pages. It goes very fast with lots of hijinks, drama and action. The ending well it makes you want more. That said the adventure ties up loose ends and by the end Shay and Michael are in a good place. I am sure there will be a second book for them and I look forward to it. I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.

Debbie Mason knows how to get the tears flowing. Her stories are treasures for the soul. Christmas With An Angel marks the start of something special. Mike and Shay are opposites in every way. She's a girl with a chip on her shoulder, a crack in her heart and a reputation that precedes her. He's a man of privilege with the world at his feet and questions about a certain bad girl. Christmas With An Angel provides a taste of what looks to be a breathtaking tale. Can't wait to jump right in.

This is book 1.5 from the Harmony Harbor series. This book probably should not be read as a standalone novella. For reader understanding and enjoyment, series can be read in order intended. Michael and Shay have a very interesting past. It all comes to a stunning and fast paced story where they meet again after a decade goes by and maybe it is possible to heal all wounds. Or is it? This series has so much going on. This book was too short for what it had, and I am hoping the books coming in the series will make it make sense to me. This author is good at weaving a tale, so I am in it for the long haul. ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publisher, in exchange for an honest review only.
