The Cities and Cemeteries of Etruria

George Dennis (1814–1898) was a British antiquarian who was the first modern investigator of ancient Etruria and Etruscan archaeological remains. After visiting Etruria several times between 1842 and 1847, Dennis entered the diplomatic service, becoming pro–consul to Sicily in 1863.
