Claiming Charity is a wonderful mix of sci-Fi, romance, intrigue, suspense, sex and violence. It is the third book in Ann Gimpel's GenTech Rebellion Series. Charity is an unstable, genetically-altered individual that has no time or place for human emotions. Unfortunately, ever since she was saved from imploding from Tony with the assistance of Frank, Tony has been all she has been able to think about. Problem? Hell ya! He's a Nameless One - her sworn enemy! No way is she getting anywhere close to him! Tony is well aware of Charity's hatred toward the Nameless One's. He wasn't directly responsible but he didn't do anything to stop the abusive treatment and neglect either. He was stuck in his lab trying to find a way to make the race better, stronger, faster, smarter, and ultimately more stable. Can the two of them breach the vast divide between them to find each other or will it prove to be too much even for love? Swamps, ejected pilots, nasty swamp creatures, elusive drugs, and downed aircraft all keep you on the edge of your seat as you read through this story.

Louisiana's Atchafalaya swamp is a major location for Charity & Tony. He's a Nameless One & Charity finds it hard to let herself believe she can trust him. This story takes us thru the feelings & desires she faces trying to come to a place to allow herself to be happy. You will be on pins & needles as Tony, Frank, & Milton's chopper goes down; the fight against Nameless Ones to recover Cortexiphan, a drug that can make humans go insane or a genetically engineered human almost invincible; and Milton's rejection of the freak injections. A ton of action & some steamy sex make this a book to add to your TBR list.

In this 3rd book of the GenTech Rebellion series, we have Charity, one of the 4 genetically enchanced women previously rescued from their handlers, "The Nameless Ones." These were the genetically enhanced men that turned on their makers killing them and destroying the labs. They kept the women literally as prisoners giving them barely enough to survive. Charity cannot forget or forgive their treatment of her and the other women in her section of the compound, or the many experiments done on her trying to "improve" her. Because of these experiments, Charity is almost lost to death and/or madness, but due to help from two Nameless Ones that escaped and asked from amnesty from the CIA, she lives. But she is torn by her hatred for all those men that kept them imprisoned, so how can she possibly have feelings for one of them. This is the continuation of the Black Ops group trying to find and bring these men down before they can enhance themselves further and destroy mankind. It's also a story of these beings forgiving what they personally had no control over and to learn to be more human and accepting of all that entails. Can they put their past behind them, can they learn to overlook their past and learn to love not only each other but what they are. Will man ever really trust them, even after they've shown over and over again that they are on mankind's side, more to the point can Charity learn and move forward before she destroys herself and others with her hate. This is a wonderful 3rd book of this great sci-fi romance thriller and of the women and men working and learning side by side to overcome one of science's greatest mistakes.

More Revelations and Surprises. This is the third book in the GenTech Rebellion series. I have enjoyed this series. The book can be read as a standalone. The book does not end in a cliffhanger but is open ended for future books in the series. There is violence and sex in the book so definitely 18+. The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that info here. The author did a great job of continuing the story but also recapping the first two books for new readers. The characters, new and old, are well defined and dimensional. The storyline will keep you guessing what twists and turns will be revealed next. It definitely kept me riveted and reading. The women, the CIA team, as well as Frank and Tony are trying to work together as a team. But old habits and prejudices are difficult to overcome. Especially with Charity. She is having a hard time trusting anyone, but especially Tony since he worked in the lab. Tony and Charity are attracted to each other but can he get through her defenses? I loved the GenTech Rebellion series and am glad there will be a couple more books to continue the storyline! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This series is addictive... ~ Received this free book for an honest review. This book takes a different turn than the first two in the romance department. It's refreshing to see this couple come together. It brings to mind how prejudices can get in the way of happiness. Acceptance and moving forward to a better future is paramount to evolving. I loved Charity's journey in this book. I hope to see the other women's story soon.

Book 3 of the GenTech rebellion is about Charity and Tony, both are genetically altered superhuman (V3). Both are on a team to help protect normal human beings against the other V3 and V4's who are out for their revenge and power. Charity has been imprisoned by the males of her kind called the nameless ones for all of her memory and now hates them. But now that she is free and working for the team she meets Tony and she is attracted to him but can she look past the fact he was a nameless one? Tony thinks the sun raise and sets on Charity and will do anything to be with her. He never thought he could fall in love or that his kind could. While they are working thing out the story as tons of action, mission s, explosions, and attacks. The plotline is full of twists and amazingly entertaining. What an awesome story. Ann Gimpel has done it again with another hit! The characters in this series and their development is over the top best I have ever read. I wish I could give this story 10 stars it's that great! It's a must read, you will not be disappointed in this book or the series. book given for an honest review and I can honestly say I loved it wow.
