**Author note below
Rancher Rylie Thorn loves everything about men, but she’s positively phobic about commitment. After growing up in a broken family and witnessing too many failed marriages, Rylie knows “forever” is just not in the cards for her.
Sheriff Clay Wayland has been called in to investigate a rash of crimes in the southeastern corner of Cochise County. But one night when he goes into the field to do some observation, he comes across a sensual woman who’s doing some investigating of her own. Rylie immediately sets his blood on fire and he knows he has to have her. And it isn’t long before Clay begins the job of taming this wildcat and making her his . . . for keeps.
**Please note: “Clay” was published in print only with St. Martin’s Griffin. “Clay” was originally published in eBook and print with Ellora’s Cave under the title “Wildcat”. Character names were changed at St. Martin's request, and the “Armed and Dangerous” versions were expanded considerably from the original "Wild" series.
About the Author
Cheyenne McCray is an award winning, New York Times and USA Today Best Selling author who is a rare native Arizonan but refuses to be put behind glass as an endangered species.
In her spare time she loves to torture characters, whether they’re misbehaving or not, and kill off deserving individuals. She also totally gets off on blowing things up. All fictionally, of course. She’d rather chew glass than write sweet and sugary. Give her a hideous demon or particularly nasty villain to slay any day.
Cheyenne enjoys creating stories of love, suspense, and redemption...in some cases. She enjoys building worlds her readers can get lost in. Hopefully they’ll find their way out, but stranger things have been known to happen.
If you would like to find out what odd and unusual things Cheyenne is up to these days, cruise her website any time, take a look at the bizarrely normal yet strange FAQs, and even drop her a line or two. Just not too hard. Those things hurt. CheyenneMcCray.com

3.75* This is a fast erotic suspenseful romance. One of the things I liked best was that it was the heroine this time with the torched past and the hero who knew they were meant to be together. Rylie Thorn knew that love only meant heartbreak after living through her parents horrible marriage. Sheriff Clay Wayland knew the moment he seen Rylie she was the woman meant for him, know he only had to convince her. But all could go up in smoke if he has to arrest her brother Levi.
Clay is a sexy sheriff that loves Rylie, even her attitude. Rylie is sassy and doesn't want a guy, but Clay wont take no for an answer. Clay is the perfect man.
