I couldn't have scripted a more perfect night.

For one fantastic evening, at a masquerade party in the heart of Manhattan, I'm not the millionaire everyone wants a piece of. Fine--multimillionaire. But who's counting all those commas? Not me, and not the most intriguing woman I've ever met, who happens to like dancing, witty banter, and hot, passionate up-against-the-wall sex as much as I do.

There's no need for names or business cards. And that's why I'm eager to get to know her more, since my mystery woman seems to like me for me, rather than for my account.

Everything's coming up aces. Until the next day when things get a little complicated. (Newsflash -- a lot complicated.)

He's charming, brilliant, an incredible lover, and right now I want to stab fate in the eyeballs.

I've had one goal I've been working toward, and lo and behold, my mystery man is the very person who stands between me and my dream job. A job I desperately need since my hard-knock life has nothing in common with his star-kissed one.

But it's time to put that fairytale night behind me, and focus on learning what makes him tick. Too bad it turns out his quirks are my quirks, and his love affair with New York matches mine.

And as we spend our days together, I discover something else that feels like a cruel twist of fate -- I'm falling for this naughty prince charming, and that's not an ending I can write to our story.

I absolutely DEVOURED this book! It was the perfect amount of sweet and sexy, with a pinch of taboo for good measure. No one writes sexy romantic comedies like Lauren Blakely! Come As You Are will have you laughing, swooning, and grinning like a fool! It's rare when I like both the hero and heroine equally. Usually one will stand out more than the other, but this time around, Flynn and Sabrina were the perfect pair. Flynn is one of the most adorkably sexy heroes ever and Sabrina was fantastically quirky. Both were intelligent, loyal, loving, and driven individuals. They both have some romantic baggage in their pasts, but it's clear from the moment these two meet that they just fit. The connection between them was jumping off the pages and I could not get enough of their sexy banter and adorable nerd speak. Yes, their meet cute wasn't exactly conventional and showcased their chemistry more anything (scorching hot by the way!), but it's the time afterwards that really exemplifies their incredible connection. Their amazing and off the beaten path adventures around New York City allows their relationship to organically grow and flourish. The build-up between these two was so delicious and was the perfect amount of will they/won't they. I also appreciated that there was no unnecessary angst or other man/woman drama, but rather just our two characters navigating this path together. I absolutely loved this one and my heart was so full as I turned the last page. Come As You Are is my new Lauren Blakely favorite! *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

Come as you are is an enchanting, feel-good read! Talk about plastering a smile on my face! This book just had me rocking a cheeky smile throughout the whole read. With that dynamic underpull of joy, it brought to the pages. Plus with the current of heat which blazed through the scenes, I was wishing I could be Sabrina and Flynn at some points! So from one hopeless romantic to another, let's just say, Come as you are is must have for any hopeless romantic at heart!

Lauren Blakely is amazingly talented writing all forms of romance. But books like Come As You Are are where her brilliance really shines. It's a rom-com, which seems to be where she's settled these days, but the "rom" was extra sexy and the "com" was extra witty, and together they made an incredibly entertaining book. Flynn is a rich, hot nerd (we met his twin brother - another rich, hot nerd - in STUD FINDER) who is lamenting his bad luck in love. He just wants to find a girl who doesn't bore him, is easy on the eyes, and most importantly, doesn't give a fig for his money. Sabrina is also striking out in the romance department. After being left at the alter and then losing her job, she's been in a deep funk. But, being the romantic she is, when her BFF invites her to a tech-themed masquerade party, she jumps at the chance to play the part of someone who is not her. As you can imagine, Flynn and Sabrina meet at the party, not knowing who each other is, and have a wild time. Seriously - who knew Lauren Blakely could do dirty talking like this? And, chalk one up for the hot nerds - they seem to be the dirtiest of all the men out there. Both are flying high after the party until it's discovered that Sabrina is the journalist hired to write a magazine article about him, and for professional reasons, the duo decide to keep their interactions strictly business from here on out. But, that horse has already left the barn, and the ensuing sexual tension as they try to fight their attraction is the absolute best part of this book. As Sabrina interviews Flynn for her article, they end up seeking out all the obscurely fascinating parts of New York City. And, while they do so, they learn more and more about each other. And learn they are the perfect match. Their banter is so entertaining and feels completely organic. Flynn and Sabrina may be my favorite Lauren Blakely couple of them all. Through pineapple math and park benches and romance book dukes, Sabrina and Flynn discover their soul mates in each other, and watching them wade through the particulars of how, exactly, they were going to make that work amid some big complications made Come As You Are one of my favorite books so far this year.

Flynn is one of the leaders in the tech industry however with that success comes drawbacks. He is approached regularly by people who want something from Flynn the successful businessman and not don’t want to know Flynn the man. As a result, he allows few people to break through the walls he has built around himself. Sabrina’s life is more of a nightmare than a dream. The combination of the way her last relationship ended and being unemployed while having others depend on her is making her desperate. When she ends up at a masquerade party to try and socialize with those who could help her career she not only ends up with an opportunity with a media publication company she also meets Flynn and their encounter is off the charts steamy. Things quickly become complicated when she realizes her new assignment is to interview Flynn. They both need their partnership to be successful and that means hands off and with all that is at stake that should be no problem, right? I loved how these characters are so unique and so perfect together. The combination of drama, humor and heat make it another winner by this author.

Come As You Are is another fabulous example of the brilliant storytelling of one of today’s most prolific writers of contemporary romance. Men might be from Mars and women from Venus but this author always celebrates the unique and delightful difference between the sexes which is why her books are an automatic must read for me. She specializes in witty banter, steamy sexual attraction and true heartfelt emotion that leaps right off the page and right into my romantic heart. Flynn and Sabrina are perfect for each other but in order to keep their professional integrity intact they have to deny their feelings and that proves to be more difficult as time goes by. Trust me, you will fall in love with these characters just as much as I did when I read their story in one sitting. I read an early copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary and unsolicited review are completely my own.

Usually you'd find me here gushing about the newest #BlakelyBoy that I’ve fallen in love with, but today I'm all about the girl! Sabrina Granger is who I'd want to be, if I was just starting out in my adult life! She's a little bit quirky, incredibly devoted, strong, independent, and determined. I love the relationship she has with her brother, how committed she is to making sure he has everything he needs to realize his dream, even if it means putting herself second. Pretty sure she is my favorite of Ms. Blakely's heroines, she really is quite awesome. Now, this is not to say that I wasn't totally head over heels for Flynn Parker, because I was. I really was. He's charming and adorable, extremely loyal (I want to be one of his employees), and always has time to listen, which I found totally endearing. Together, Sabrina and Flynn are just delightful! From their very first meeting, to the “Another Epilogue”, Come As You Are is everything that is good and right when it comes to a Lauren Blakely romcom. It was sexy and sweet, and there was a playfulness between the characters that I just loved. I adore how Ms. Blakely incorporates the locations into her stories and leaves me wanting to hop on a plane to visit all the unique places she mentions. And this book was no exception- I even found myself Googling some of them, to see if they really existed! It was fun to visit them alongside Sabrina and Flynn, it was such an entertaining way for them to get to know each other. Come As You Are is sweet and sexy, with just the right amount of humor and heart. Ms. Blakely truly is the queen of the contemporary romcom. I don't know how she does it, but as long as she keeps writing characters and stories as enjoyable as this one, I'll keep coming back for me!

Once more Lauren Blakely has done it again, written a book that has the most wonderful man in it. I’m so in love with Flynn who is a thoroughly nice guy with such an awesome personality. Having been bitten in the past by a woman who wanted him for his bank balance. Flynn just finds it hard to trust women. As soon as he met Sabrina it was lust at first sight. Our heroine Sabrina is feisty, intelligent who also has plenty of heart. I loved this book, it was entertaining, funny and Lauren at her best. I can’t wait to get the audiobook. They first meet at a masquerade party, both wearing costumes and masks. They just clicked and decided to meet again. Of course their journey to their happy ever after is paved with great entertainment. This one is a must buy I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Come As You Areby Lauren Blakely is a contemporary standalone romance told in dual POV between Flynn Parker, a multi-millionaire tech genius and Sabrina Granger, a poor but excellent reporter with a passion for masquerade balls and dirty dukes. Flynn has had enough of being chased for his money. Once bitten, forever shy as far as he is concerned. When a charity function hosts a masquerade party this is his chance to meet someone who doesn't see him as his financial worth but sees him for who he is. Little does he expect to run into his Angel and play Dirty Prince Charming to her Dirty Cinderella. Sabrina has been through the wringer as far as relationships go. Her mother is a piece of work who abandoned her & her brother, leaving him in her care. Her fiancé up and left to China TWO WHOLE DAYS before her wedding, and now her job as a reporter is gone thanks to the company going out of business. Attending a charity masquerade ball her best friend co-ordinated is a chance for her to network and get back out there... For work and maybe for a date too. She doesn't expect the biggest opportunity of her life to happen not once, but twice that same night. Shame one comes in direct opposition to the other. Now Sabrina has to make a choice - love or money... Well-written, perfectly-paced, this story was cute, quirky, sexy, and a wonderful insight into some of the lesser known sights in and around New York. I absolutely enjoyed this - hope you do too!

The title of Flynn and Sabrina’s book speaks to the people they are beneath their professional personas…the ones who don’t have to consider the risks…who adore witty grammar exchanges, willingly follow their heart instead of their head, and dirty each other up in all deliciously decadent ways. But that’s not Flynn or Sabrina’s reality… In the real world, the in-your-face New York City business world, Flynn Parker is a visionary – one who has made millions due to his brain power…one who endures impromptu wedding proposals and countless business pitches from almost everyone who crosses his path…one who doesn’t know who to trust when it comes to the opposite sex because he’s been burned before with someone’s desire over his money more than anything else. He’s ‘millions’…he’s polished…he’s a self-driven multi-millionaire. And, it’s the man who Flynn is in the business world that Sabrina Granger can’t allow herself to fall for…because she’s ‘pennies’ and ‘do-it-yourself’ attire, and she doesn’t add up to anything close to who and what Flynn has in his life…at least when it comes to the numbers and the professionalism she must exude in order to take care of herself and her brother and given the disastrous state of her circumstances, the reward of her attraction to Flynn is not worth the risk that comes with it, not because she doesn’t want him or think about him all the time, but because in the grand scheme of things, they come from two different worlds and she just can’t find a way to fit into his without compromising her principles and becoming someone she vowed she never would be. Regardless of Flynn and Sabrina’s differing lifestyles, their chemistry and attraction cannot be denied, so while they ‘try’ to be professional and not cross the line that Sabrina needs to remain behind, it’s clear that they’re falling for each other and complement one another in so many ways. The struggle they both have to not go back to Duke and Angel is always festering just beneath the surface, and Lauren Blakely does a great job of illustrating both Flynn and Sabrina’s internal struggle. There’s so much more on the line for Sabrina when it comes to her profession, but there’s just as much for Flynn to lose, even if it comes in a much different form of loss and Blakely examines all of the whys and why nots and then allows the hero and heroine to make up their minds and truly figure out the risk versus the reward…the idea of what taking a chance could cost them, and ultimately, they both realize things about themselves, their lifestyles, and their hopes/dreams and the only reason they do is because they took a chance that first night, even behind masks and no names, to be honest and to free themselves of societal constraints, so the crux of the story focuses on how to come to an equal balance when it comes to Sabrina’s career and the fact that they’re falling for one another regardless of the conflict of interest that compounds all of Sabrina’s decisions. Because when it comes down to it, their grammar games, Flynn’s knock, knock jokes, their dirty Cinderella and dirty Prince Charming experiences clearly illustrate just how perfect they are together and just how much they want to be themselves – the ones who met at the masquerade party and ended up unmasking each other to the point that they both wanted more.

Blakely has whipped up an irresistible romance as sexy and witty as the nerd protagonists she details in Come as You Are. Before Flynn Parker and Sabrina Granger were formally introduced, they met at a masquerade party as angel investor and stealth start-up or Angel and Duke and under their freeing guises they danced, joked, talked, flirted and connected on a physical and emotional level. But their perfect fairytale night came to a screeching halt the next day when the masks came off and their real identities are revealed. With the success he’s had, trust does not come easy but Flynn hasn’t hardened his heart even after a near disastrous relationship and really wanted to get to know his mystery woman who appeared to genuinely like him. A woman who’s writing a very important article on him and therefore off-limits. Sabrina doesn’t just want her dream job, she needs it and getting involved with her subject is unethical. She still needs to interview him though and as traipse around Manhattan while getting to know each other one thing is abundantly clear, they’re each other’s person. Can the math nerd and the grammar nerd find a way around their predicament? Blakely creates a captivating story full of delicious feels and a few unexpected twists all highlighted by a toe-curling romance. Witty, teasing, dirty banter will take you on a sweet and sexy journey where you’ll fall in love with Flynn and Sabrina just as they did with each other. Even though they both have trust issues and come from vastly different backgrounds, there’s nothing as sexy as the meeting of minds. Flynn and Sabrina are smart, warm and wonderfully layered characters that find a vast amount of commonalities, and yes their chemistry snap, crackle, and pops off the pages. Come as You Are is a standalone contemporary romance by author Lauren Blakely. It is skillfully paced and expertly balanced with just the right amount of angst and addictive swoon worthy romance.

COME AS YOU ARE was a sweet and sexy standalone by Lauren Blakely. It’s not often that we get introduced to a CEO who is both alpha and beta at the same time. That’s how Flynn Parker a.k.a Duke came across, to me at least. He’s a tough as nails businessman at the top of his game but has a soft inner strength and the sweetest of hearts. He’s also a charming, sexy and rich NERD!!! He’s THE tech guy of his world who loves math, and books, and well… read and find out what exactly it is about this beautiful man that gets Sabrina going. Everyone wants a piece of the new ‘god’ whether it’s his Midas touch, his money or his body. He knows they all wants something. Everyone, except Sabrina Granger. She doesn’t even know who he is when they first meet, and he likes that. Flynn is rolling out a new tech device and has his hands full with all of that entails, but when Sabrina comes into his life, she’s like a breath of fresh air. He meets her at a masquerade party, no one gets his costume until Sabrina comes along. She’s gone to the party to cheer herself up after months in the doldrums and having just lost her job. Sabrina’s costume catches Flynn eye as well as her sexy as sin body, but it’s her mind that really gets him reved up. Sabrina is at a bad place in her life. She’s kinda lost and lonely, having been recently jilted and then lost her job, but she’s kept her sassy sense of humor and her quirky nature but her heart has been pummeled and now she hides it behind an icy wall. So, she decides to cheer herself up and go to the masquerade party her friend Courtney asked her to accompany her to, not thinking for one second she’d meet her Prince Charming there. She enjoys making her own clothes, the costume she wears to the party was made by her own fair hands and she loves that Flynn guessed what she was dressed as. She figures his out quite quickly too, unlike everyone one else. Their attraction soon ramped up even though their faces were mostly hidden by their asks and it wasn’t long before one of Sabrina’s fantasies was being reenacted in the library. That was soo hot. They planned to meet again next day to continue but without their disguises. Before Sabrina gets to sees Duke again, she finally gets offered a job to write about a new tech, being brought to the market by none other than… you guessed it. Flynn Parker. Yes, that Flynn. They hadn’t exchanged names at the party, just gone by the nicknames they gave each other, so when they met at the place where Angel and Duke were meant to find each other, it comes as a shock. So, now she’s faced with a moral dilemma. Work or love. She can’t have both… or can she. Find out what happens when you One-Click your copy of Come As You Are.

I just adore Flynn & Sabrina! I feel like Lauren Blakely can do no wrong when it comes to writing romance. This book is fun, flirty, sexy and just freakin’ fantastic! The story itself was so incredibly good that I just couldn’t get enough. I love the unconventional way our Duke and Angel meet! Their chemistry is sizzling hot! But more than that I think their conversations, witty/fun banter and excursions are my favorite parts of this book!! I felt like I was with them and it makes me want to go back to NYC and do all those cool things they did instead of the big touristy things I’ve done. Seems like so much fun!! I was a bit worried that they screwed things up there for a bit, but luckily they both have awesome people in their lives that help them to see that a love like theirs is always worth the risk and doesn’t come along every day.

I loved this enchanting, fun & flirty forbidden romance! Ms Blakely gave us a refreshing, sexy romance with irresistible characters who will steal your heart. Sexy millionaire nerd, Flynn, and down on her luck, Sabrina, have a chance meeting at a masquerade ball. They both want to be liked for who they are, not for their wealth or circumstances. With masks on, their attraction heats up, and they can't deny the intrigue of a clandestine affair. Without exchanging names, they plan to meet again. But When Sabrina's new job puts her and Flynn together, motives are questioned and they are forced to put their affair aside. There is so much I loved about this story, from the witty grammar banter, to the fun 'Duke & Angel' texts, to the non-dates where they explore their favorite, and unconventional New York spots, to their hot and steamy passion. Flynn and Sabrina are so perfect together, and are my new favorite couple! I was totally captivated by this clever, irresistible, sexy romance!

This book had this unexpected mix of math, science, and technology and romance, quotes, and history that had me surprised and swoony. Flynn and Sabrina were two individuals who were absolutely made for each other, but even though they click from the get-go, they're faced with a seemingly insurmountable hurdle in the form of an article that Sabrina is tasked to write. Now, that may seem like such a minor thing, but that article could very well lead to a permanent position at a prestigious publication, and if it's one thing that Sabrina needs, it's a well-paying job in the field hat she loves. It would mean being able to continue supporting her beloved younger brother as well as taking care of the usual bills. I loved getting to know Sabrina as much as I did Flynn, and trust me when I say there's far more depth in these main characters than I've read in some time. This dirty Cinderella and her equally dirty Prince Charming have easily become my new favorite fictional couple. There's a great deal of romance in the book, and I'm not just talking about the interactions between Flynn and Sabrina. This isn't the first time New York City has been used as a backdrop in a story, but Lauren Blakely has taken it a step further by making the city that never sleeps a living, breathing part of Flynn and Sabrina's romance. I could almost imagine the various places they visited and picture the treasures that they would come across and wonder what it would be like if I could experience it for myself. From the setting to the exchanges between our main characters--exchanges that would range from playful and flirty banter to far more thoughtful and emotional revelations and discussions--Come as You Are is a standalone romance that I now think of as a modern classic. Would it be considered wishful thinking for me to hope that this be made into a movie because of both how picturesque Blakely was able to make everything seem and how a tale this lovely and remarkable deserves to be brought to life? Come as You Are is an all-time favorite that I highly recommend. Five-plus stars. ♥

**I received an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review** I swear that every time I finish a new Lauren Blakely book I say that it is my new favorite and Come As You Are is no exception! I loved everything about this book - it was funny, sexy and swoonworthy. I simply did not want to put it down! I was enthralled with Flynn and Sabrina and the way this story unfolded was as magical as New York City. Flynn and Sabrina end up meeting in a most unique way, at a masquerade ball, and their relationship gets off to a very passionate start. It's clear from the beginning that their chemistry is off the charts, but they have both been hurt in past relationships, so neither one is eager to jump into another one. They both like the anonymity that the ball has provided for them because they can enjoy one anothers company without expectations. While their initial meeting might have been like a fairy tale, they quickly learn that real life is anything but, and the beginning they were both hoping for might actually spell the end. Will these two brilliant, adorkable, quirky individuals be able to navigate the roadblocks thrown in their way and find a way to be together? I absolutely adored both Flynn and Sabrina and the way they shared their favorite haunts around New York City was both romantic and educational. I grinned throughout this book and couldn't have been happier when I got to the end. I felt like the way the book ended was the perfect way to give Flynn and Sabrina their happily ever after. Run, don't walk to one-click this awesome book!

This Prince needs a Princess, but has run out of places to look. A broken heart, a masquerade, a perfect night and he may have just found his Cinderella. Flynn knows how to get what he wants, but for Sabrina with daylight comes reason. Will she risk her future for a chance at right now? Come as You Are blends the phenom that is Lauren Blakely with the fantasy of a fairytale wish and a dash of cold hard reality. Passion unfolds with a bit of entertainment, a handful of humor and fistful of heart.

This one took a bit for me to get into. And that's saying a lot, because it was narrated by two of my favorites, Sebastian York and Andi Arndt. But once the story picked up, I really got into it and as you can tell from my rating, I loved it. This had the whole Cinderella leaving her shoe behind at midnight, but it wasn't her shoe this time. I did really like though, the way the author had the two meet up after they found out who the other was. I like that he didn't automatically assume she'd played him to get her story. I like that honestly they were realistic about how it had all happened, no one accusing the other unrealistically. I like that what so often becomes an insurmountable obstacle for the two doesn't do that, because they are honest with each other, instead of keeping things to themselves, hoping not to have to share them in order not to hurt them, or whatever dumb reasons characters usually keep for not telling something. Like the last problem, the mom, I like that it wasn't automatically assumed the other one had been lying and actually sent her for money. I like that he knew her well enough to know the mother was acting on her own greediness. There were so many other good things, the grammar jokes were hilarious. And all the things in NYC that I now want to go back and try to see, like the abandoned subway stations for one! While all the sex was steamy, one scene I listed to on my way to work in the morning, and thought maybe I should have listened to the night before when I was in bed, because yeah...definitely had to fan myself before going into work.
