The story is highly engaging. It leaves you feeling satisfied at the end. It is short, yes, but it is also fully rounded out, has an engaging plot, and the ending makes the book feel complete. It most certainly doesn't leave you dissatisfied and with too many questions. It is a quick read, but a very enjoyable one. The author does a good job of hooking you from page one. The characters were unique and so was the plot line. It was brilliantly written and a must read for any short story fans. Excellent short story. Good choices for scenes. I really enjoyed the scenerios and the way the author managed them. Very good reading. Why only four stars. ? THE STORY WAS TOO SHORT

This is a free, 44 page short story. When I read the title, I almost did not down load it. I thought it might be about animals being tortured and burned by some sicko. It was not. It is a story about retired fire fighters and is very good, if sometimes gruesome. The details were very well done. Being burned is a fear of mine, so this book was cringe worthy for me.it was very realistic. Other than the burning detakls it is a very clean story. For adults. Recommended. This is not chick lit, nor a mystery. It is a very good work of fiction. Realistic. AD
