Overview

The call to abide in Jesus and his words abide in you (John 15:4-5) is the heart of this devotional. Within these pages, the reader will find verses from each Testament, stressing the importance that all scripture, whether old or new, is breathed out by God (2 Timothy 3:16). The structure is also intended to assist in memorizing scripture. The Bible provides all the tools we need to live in relationship with Him, but if we never open the toolbox then we won't know what tool to use or how to use it. Moreover, this devotional aims to help every reader not only grow their toolbox, but also learn about each tool inside, what purpose it serves, how it was made and when it should be used. Digging further to understand the environment of each passage will reveal deeper truth and how it relates to the character of God. My prayer is that Daily Bread helps set the table for constant communion with our Creator.
