Yet another one of Locke's clever stories. Well developed with her "staff" of familiar characters. An excellent read.

A wonderful short stand-alone story (about 50 pages) about a boy, his adorable and smart Boston Terrier, and his friend Ian who sells newspapers in San Francisco circa 1881. While I have been introduced to Jaime and his delightful dog Dandy in other books, I was tickled to read this story that was all their own. It supplements the series beautifully and was an interesting read. This novella is historical fiction and warmed my soul as I too reflected on all I had to be grateful for in my own life.

Good, but short.

This novella is another charming story in this series. The continuing characters are like family . I can't wait for the next work. In the meantime , this was a dandy story.
