About the Author

Frank Miller is one of the seminal creative talents who sparked today's onslaught of motion pictures featuring comic book characters and concepts. He single-handedly re-defined the presentation of comic book characters and heroic fiction with his grand-daddy of graphic novels, The Dark Knight Returns. Then his graphic novels turned box-office hits, including 300 and Sin City, proved that success does not always come wrapped in spandex.

Frank Miller is unquestionably a comic book genius. Before he wrote the legendary, "The Dark Knight Returns," he was writing (and revolutionizing) Daredevil. His run on the character is probably the most famous, as well as probably the most important. Daredevil: Born Again is the best Daredevil and without it, the character would not be what he is today, and there would be no Daredevil TV show. Do yourself a favor and read it!!!

Even at twenty plus years old with garish colors, it remains undiminished as a classic of the superhero genre. Only when there¿s a true collaboration, and the writer and artist are working together as Miller and Mazzucchelli do here, and both bringing more to it than each could individually, do you get a great work, a classic, like this one.

Miller did a great job with Batman in the past, it was probably an easy transition into Marvel's version of "Batman". It wasn't a bad novel by any means but I think I somehow expected more from what critics called "The Defining Daredevil Story".

A fantastically crafted Kingpin/Daredevil story arc that will probably be adapt in the Daredevil Netflix series down the line.
