Overall an enjoyable book but it gets old re-reading a short synopsis of prior books every time a subject comes up for the first time in each subsequent book in a series. By book 8 it feels like you're spending a lot of time re-reading the exact same stuff from previous books. It's almost as though Ian is trying to make the books all stand alone books which they aren't.

A very good series. I have enjoyed it for several years.

It was good, but a repetitive on certain topics. Aka filler. Still it's tomorrow's future and I learned a bit or two about history.

Engaging story line but very poor editing. I've found many words missing. Very annoying, to say the least.

A good read, a little slow. But the constant reminiscing of Admiral Gray's past life was annoying, like every other chapter he would referance his old life and wife. I also thought the ending battle was short and brushed over. But still a great series. Keep me coming.
