When actress Kate Sachs steps into the actors' lounge to turn out a light, the last thing she expects to find is a man in a mask hiding in the shadows and her director crumpled in a corner, unconscious. The man attacks her, but stops short of killing her when he hears a noise and runs away. She calls the police who finally arrive and rush her director to the hospital.
