About the Author

Beth was born in Manchester, England, but after moving backwards and forwards across the world 13 times in 14 years she decided at the age of 18 that Australia was to be her home. She now lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia where every day is a good one. She is the lucky mother of two grown up children, and, along with er ever-patient husband, she is the proud but sometimes flustered owner of four dogs, a cat, and a canary. She has always had a love of reading, and even though her background is in accounting, she has now discovered her love of writing. Her main wish is to write books you can sit back, relax with, and escape from your everyday life...and ones that you walk away from with a smile! When she's not writing you will usually find her at the beach with a coffee in hand, pursuing her favorite pastime-people watching!

I enjoyed the book. Now I want to read others in the series. Light fun read.

The story was interesting, it got off track a few times with too much "stuff" that was needed. It really needed an epilogue, didn't leave a cliffhanger but ended abruptly. Would have been 4 stars. Romance & suspense. About 190 pages. GJRA

Highly enjoyable. I loved the main characters and look forward to seeing their relationships grow. The mystery was a good one and their suspicions were reasonable throughout. I want my characters to be intelligent and follow sensible path as they investigate and we don't always see that in cozy mysteries. Can't wait to read the next one.

Reviewed by Susan Sewell for Readers' Favorite Deadly Wipeout by Beth Prentice is a fun amateur sleuth murder mystery. Samantha gets fired from her job in Australia and decides to reunite with her mother and brother. They are living in the resort town of Aloha Lagoon in Hawaii. Samantha finds one job available that she thinks she is capable of doing. It is a surf instructor and her job would be teaching kids from the resort to surf. It has been a couple of years since she last surfed, but it's just like riding a bicycle, right? With a tug of misgiving and a touch of nausea, Sam takes the job. When giving her first lesson in the water, Sam is mowed down by a dead man's body coming in on a wave. The dead man is one of her mother's patients and her mother is now the prime suspect. Not believing that the detective in charge has her mother's best interests at heart, Sam starts looking into the murder herself. Before she can gather any reasonable clues, there is another murder and now Sam's brother is implicated as well. How many murderers can one resort town hold? Is her family being framed? In the cozy mystery Deadly Wipeout by Beth Prentice, it is Samantha Reynolds versus the police detective. She has nothing concrete to prove her family's innocence and the detective has nothing but proof of their guilt. This a good book to read when it is too hot to go outside. Grab a lemonade and sit under the fan and join Sam in Hawaii as she investigates the local resort town of Aloha Lagoon, searching for the real murderer. I really enjoyed this book; it was fun to read! If you love a good cozy mystery and you love the surf, then you will love this book!

I've read and loved all the Aloha Lagoon stories. Deadly Wipeout is a great addition. I loved Samantha. She's got her problems but has heart and drive. Casey, the hunky, kind bartender,is her love interest, and a guy to make you swoon. When Samantha's mother and brother might be framed for murder, and PD cop Ray moves so slowly, Samantha takes it upon herself to find the real murderer. Fun, hilarity, and a big dose of suspense ensues. Highly recommend. I received an ARC from the publisher for purposes of an unbiased review.

This is a great book; this is the third book in the Aloha Lagoon Mystery series written by Beth Prentice. Samantha Reynolds moved to the resort town of Aloha Lagoon hoping to have an exciting new life. Even though she doesn’t have a job and living with her mom. She ends up finding a job as a children’s surfing instructor. When a dead body washes up on shore, her mom soon becomes the prime suspect. So Samantha puts her sleuthing skills to the test to find out what really happened and to clear her mom. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

This is the 3rd installment of the Aloha Lagoon series. In this book, Samantha moves from Australia to Hawaii to join her mother and twin brother Luke there. Sam has no car or job so she takes a job at the resort as a youth surf instructor. She has never taught and is a little rusty. Her first day on the job she finds a body. Turns out the body is from the nursing home her mother and brother work at. Another dead body and money left to her mother and brother and they are the prime suspects. Samantha has to jump in and clear her family and solve the murders. This was a fun read and a good addition to this series.

Murder in paradise! Seniors are dying of suspicious causes in beautiful Aloha Lagoon — and recent resident/newbie surf instructor Samantha Reynolds finds herself in the thick of it. Fun read for those of us who like both intrigue and laughs.
