It was one drink too many for 72-year-old Evelyn Guilfoyle, found dead the morning after a raucous party in the family's back garden pub. But the woman had a terminal illness and would have been dead before the year was out anyway. Why the hurry...?

Family, friends and neighbors had crammed into the tiny pub that night. DI Liam McLaughlin and his ragtag team from the Major Investigation Team are spoilt for choice regarding suspects. Can they truffle out the audacious killer from the throngs? Could this be a case they'll never solve?

The second in the Derry Murder Mysteries, Death in Small Measures is another gripping, gritty mystery thriller with jaw-dropping twists and a touch of Gerald Hansen's signature dark humor.

About the Author

Best-selling author Gerald Hansen was a Navy brat, starting school in Thailand, graduating high school in Iceland, with Germany, California and his mother's hometown of Derry, Northern Ireland in between. He attended Dublin City University, and also lived in London and Berlin. The first of the ever-expanding Derry Women Series, An Embarrassment of Riches, was an ABNA semifinalist in 2011. He loves music, spicy food, wearing Ben Sherman and traveling the world (still!). He has a travelogue series, Around The World With Jet Lag Jerry, which is about his trips to the Seven Modern Wonders of the World. He now lives in New York City.

In order to give different types of readers the experience they want, Hansen has two versions of most of his Derry Women Series books available. There are the original versions, which are perhaps more authentic, and also PG versions, where the strongest language has been toned down for a gentler reading experience.
