About the Author

Emily Kimelman not only writes adventure, she lives it every day. Embodying the true meaning of wanderlust, she's written her Sydney Rye mysteries from all over the world. From the jungles of Costa Rica to the mountains of Spain, she finds inspiration for her stories in her own life.

While living under communist rule in the former Soviet Union, the KGB sprinkled her with "spy dust", a radioactive concoction that made her glow and left a trail they could follow. She was two. She was destined for amazing things after that, and she continues to find adventure to inspire characters like the badass Sydney Rye.

I love Sydney Rye, Blue and Mulberry. I happened onto the first of the series and liked it so much I immediately bought the next one, "Death In The Dark." Loved it! I've already bought "Insatiable," the next one. There's something very satisfying about a young woman exacting revenge on monsters.

I got the first one free and am buying the others. Sydney is flawed but tries to right her versions of wrongs. Often barely admitting she needs her friends. Although her dog Blue features alot, I could use more Blue anytime! Good stories, good characters and a dog. What more could you want?

Sydney Rye became my anti-hero in UNLEASED. As she expands her world to Mexico in this book, she introduces us to friends, enemies, sort of friends and a ton of exciting adventures and revelations. Viva Sydney!!

Fun. It IS very short (70 pages) but it picks up the story line right at the ending of #1 of the series. I liked it!

The first book was so good, I had high hopes for book two. There is too much packed into the short read and it felt rushed. However, you need to read the first book to understand why I mention it. I would read more from this author, but only if the book is more than 150 pages.

I really do like these books, fast read this one. I don't like when people ruin the book with their reviews. I love it when readers actually read the book to give it a review. Don't read this book unless you read the first one. Happy reading!!!!!!
