Victoria Laurie never lets me down. This book has everything: suspense, humor, heart pounding action. I highly recommend this read to everyone. The Psychic Eye series is awesome as well as the Ghost Hunter Mysteries. The way she rights makes you feel you are right there with the characters.

I think this is the best Abby book in the series. It is a fast paced, edge of your seat, screeching around Vegas with the girls rocking story. It is non-stop action to the end. There was so much forshadowing in the first few chapters, I had to sneak a look at the end to make sure everything was going to come out ok!

As with all the books in the Abby Cooper series, this is an excellent mystery with edge of your seat suspense. A guaranteed good time. I couldnt put it down.

Sixth in the Psychic Eye mysteries by Victoria Laurie. I still find this series to be page turners, in fact I stayed up all night on a work night to finish this one. I see a few cracks in the structure, though, this time... the timing seemed off, for one thing. We are told a character is dying and must be found, but it takes days to happen. However, the characters seem so real, and the plot is so involving, that i enjoyed the book thoroughly.

Definitely not my favorite in the series. There were too many unbelievable moments, like Candice and her car wash stunt, and Abby's built in lie detector not going off when she spoke with "Jane". Plus the plot was pretty transparent to me. long before Abby had an inkling of who the bad guy really was and where dutch was being held, I had it all figured out. Definitely not the best or up to par with the author's typical writing, IMHO.

Psychic Abby Cooper is just starting to build up her business again when her boyfriend, FBI agent Dutch Rivers, asks her to go to Las Vegas with him. His cousin Chase has been kidnapped after a bloody shoot out and Dutch is desperate to find him without involving the FBI. Dutch has his reasons for not involving the FBI ¿ some of which Abby is aware of and some she knows nothing about. On top of everything else, Abby is worried when Dutch is struck by a mysterious illness. Soon Abby is in over her head and will need all the help she can get from her psychic powers and friends in order to help Dutch at all.¿Death Perception¿ is the fast paced action packed sixth book in Victoria Laurie¿s Psychic Eye mystery series and it is my favorite book in the series so far. Setting the novel in Las Vegas is a good idea and Laurie does an excellent job of portraying the weirdness that goes on there. Abby really needs her psychic abilities in this book and Laurie uses them well and shows that even having psychic powers doesn¿t mean you know everything. Abby¿s crew keeps giving her cryptic clues and Laurie does a wonderful job with these clues, especially at the end when everything is explained. One of the things that make this series work so well are the characters and in this book, Abby¿s friend Candice really stands out. I love her as a character and it is nice to learn more about her in this book (and it looks like there¿s a lot more to learn in future books). There is a lot of adventure in this book and while some of it is over the top and some events are a bit too coincidental, it all fits right in with the Las Vegas theme of the book.¿Death Perception¿ is another great paranormal mystery by Victoria Laurie.

When Abby hits Las Vegas, you're in for a wild ride! The sixth book in Laurie's "Psychic Eye" series is filled with car chases, close calls, and near-death scenarios. The action will keep you quickly turning pages. This book was a really fun read.

A very solid entry in the Psychic Eye mysteries, Death Perception is a Thelma-and-Louise burst of chick power, without the tragic ending. Abby and Dutch travel to Vegas to help find Dutch's cousin, Chase, who has been kidnapped. What ensues is a mystery several levels deep, going all the way back to the beginning of the series. There is plenty of action as Abby teams up with partner Candice, sister Cat, and a few others as they run from the FBI while searching for the now-missing Dutch, who is in grave danger. Candice turns out to be a fun character, and I hope we see a lot more of her. Abby's intuition plays the usual pivotal role. I don't know if I've gotten used to it, or if it's been toned down, but the "woo-woo" factor seems more subdued and believable.

I feel like I have put my life on hold as I work my way through Abby's and Dutch ' s adventures. I love the twists and turns of their deepening relationship. The collection of characters that Abby has collected are fun and querky and brave. Can't wait to buy the next book in the series.

Dutch and Abby are faring well with their new living arrangements, Candace is working out very well as Abby's business partner. Life couldn't get any better for Abby. And then...Dutch receives a call that his cousin Chase has been kidnapped! Dutch grew up with Chase, they're like brothers, and he goes into high alert after hearing the news. He and Abby hop on a plane to Vegas, where Chase lives, to figure out what happened and find Chase. With potential danger being linked to Chase's kidnapping, and Dutch's "secret" investigation, the two lay low with the police on Dutch's true identity, hoping that will get them more information. I had no idea from this point on in the book that the investigation was going to get so out of hand with the craziness, it was amazingly awesome! While they are trying to find out what happened to Chase and his boss Delgado, Dutch goes missing! The FBI are after Abby, and there is a blonde woman found in Dutch's crashed car on the highway, that has amnesia! What is a psychic in Vegas with no friends to do? Call her crazy sister Cat, and friend/partner Candace of course! Once these two ladies show up, all bets are off! With Abby out of sorts and scared about Dutch's welfare, and the FBI hunting her down for evil, bad reasons, Candace and Cat put their best feet forward helping to find Dutch. This book has to be up there with the best in the series so far! The antics the three ladies get into are so funny, scary, and genius! You also find out more about Candace, because apparently she is from Vegas and runs into her past that she has to explain, hehe...Abby, Candace, and Cat make new friends as well that will be a perfect addition to their lifestyles. You know you're hooked when you're on the verge of committing "Hari Kari" if ANYONE interrupts you ONE MORE TIME while listening to the book! I am never disappointed when Abby is on the case! Narrator review: Elizabeth Michaels does a wonderful job of narrating Abby's story. Elizabeth does not "act" out the book, she narrates it, and a great job she does! So if your looking for someone that does voices for each character, just forget about it! However, if you are looking for just a wonderful nice voice to tell you a story as herself, Elizabeth fits the bill. Elizabeth's voice does seem to fit Abby's personality very well and she is able to carry herself consistently throughout the story. I give Elizabeth Michaels 4 Stars for her work as Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye!

I liked it but this was not quite as good as some of the earlier books. If you like light reading with a little mystery and romance, this is a good series.
