I highly recommend DEATHWISH to anyone who enjoys sexy romantic whodunits. The town , wrapped in red and green, greeted him, welcome him home as he drove down familiar streets. Driving his old truck filled Hunter with pleasure. He didn't have to look for IEDs on the side of the road. He grinned all the way to the apartment, enjoying the ride, the peace of the night, the old brick buildings on Main Street, the holiday finery, the palpable presence of town spirit. He parked his truck in front of the apartment building that Ethan owned as a side business, and suddenly couldn't wait another second. He hurried up the front stairs, down the inside staircase, then just about ran down the hallway to his basement-level unit. He had his key in his hand, but the doorknob turned easily as he put his hand on it. Cindy had left the door open for him. He grinned like a fool as he walked in. The loose floorboard in the middle of the living room creaked a familiar welcome as he passed his army duffel bag on the floor where he'd dumped it earlier. Cindy's little pink purse sat on his brown leather couch like a cupcake on a tray. "Cindy?" He strode toward the bedroom in the back, his smile spreading as he anticipated a private party. If she was waiting for him naked in bed, the proposal would have to wait a litt. "Honey?" But she wasn't waiting for him naked. She was waiting for him dead. DEATHWISH by Dana Marton is an absolutely awesome, utterly mind-blowing romantic suspense! I loved everything about it! Dana outdid herself with this one! I've inhaled every one of Dana's Broslin Creek books - but this is definitely my favorite so far! The characterizations were amazing and the story was filled with danger, intrigue and action. This is the story of Hunter, Captain Bing’s younger brother, and Gabi, a relatively-new Broslin police officer. Even though there are interconnected characters and a common setting, each of the books in the author's Broslin Creek series can be fully enjoyed as standalones. The series can be read in any order, too, as I can very well attest. After enjoying this book, just know that the rest of the series is excellent as well. I'm betting you will fall in love with the small mushroom capital of Broslin Creek and its people. Hunter is a veteran plagued by guilt and nightmares from his time in the service. The author obviously did her research on PTSD as the subject is handled very carefully. I thought that aspect really added to the story. Hunter is finally headed home from the Middle East with plans to propose to his long-time sweetheart. Gabi is an officer on the Broslin PD. Her goal is to prove herself a clean, follow-the-rules cop so she can return to her former job in the big city. Her reputation and career in the big city had been derailed by her corrupt former boyfriend/partner, who had been on the take. The evidence against Hunter looks really bad: His long-time girlfriend was murdered in his apartment, shot by his gun which was taken from his secure wall safe with no signs of a break in. Because Hunter is either related to or friends with all the other Broslin officers, Gabi is assigned his case. My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. This book is awesome. Has so much twist and turns keeps you on your seat. You just can't put it down. To have one of a hero come back from service and find himself mixed up in the murder of his girlfriend. The story line reaches your heart and holds on tight. It is a must read.

Story of romantic suspense:  4 stars--DEATHWISH is the sixth installment in Dana Marton’s contemporary, adult, Broslin Creek romantic, suspense series focusing on the small town of Broslin Creek. This is former soldier Hunter Bing and police officer Gabrielle Flores storyline. Each story can be read as a stand alone without too much difficulty. Returning home from his latest rescue mission in the Middle East, Hunter Bing finds himself the number one suspect in a murder investigation when Broslin Creek’s newest police officer Gabriella Flores takes aim at the Captain’s younger brother.  Deathwish follows the subsequent investigation and mystery surrounding a number of close calls for several members of Hunter’s family. When the clues point in a different direction, Hunter is called in to assist Officer Flores in the investigation. Sparks fly between our couple but Gabriella is determined to return back to the big city once the current case has been solved. Dana Marton weaves a tale of mystery and suspense where everyone is suspect and no one can be ruled out. There are moments of betrayal for a man who has served his country, and moments of redemption when the guilty has been charged. The secondary characters include some of the previous storyline players including Hunter’s family and a number of the people in Broslin Creek. The relationship between Gabriella and Hunter begins as a working partnership. Gabriella knows that to get involved with Hunter is most likely a break of professional conduct but there is no denying the attraction to one another. The sex scenes are limited as our couple agree to wait until the case has been solved but there are definitely intimate and provocative moments throughout the story, DEATHWISH is a romantic suspense storyline with a few twists and surprises that will keep the reader on the edge of your seat. Dana Marton will pull you in with her fantastic story telling and happily ever afters.

Gabi is a strong independent determined woman who functions in a job where she can hide her emotions and Hunter the quintessential soldier's soldier who has come home to marry and get away from the scars of war. Ms. Marton writes a wonderfully crafted who dun it that brings these two characters together to ignite the fireworks of love and loss, guilt and acceptance! The Broslin Creek series is one that holds your heart and attention from page one. Every character is unique and their interactions from book to book make you feel like you are coming home to friends! Loved Gabi and Hunter and their strengths and weaknesses , don't miss the opportunity to read their heartwarming journey towards discovering their friendship and happily ever after.

Fantastic murder mystery with a nice sizzle of electricity between the main characters. This book delivers a great plot with twists that are both believable and not at all predictable. It was wonderful to have a strong female lead character that didn't need to be rescued, but absolutely sizzled with electricity between her and the main male character. If you like a good mystery, this is a great choice for you. I really believe that Dana's characters and storylines get better with each book. I'm looking forward to the next book already! I was given an advance copy of the book by the author and in return promised an honest review. I am disappointed at all that I agreed!

This book got me hooked with its suspense and sweet romance. I'm currently traveling but I find myself just wanting to continue reading at any given opportunity. It is action filled and the suspense kept me guessing. I honestly didn't expect the ending although I had my suspicion about one but not for the reason behind why it happened. Dana Marton spun a really good story and despite not having read the earlier books in this series, I had no issues catching up with the Bing family members as well as the secondary characters. Definitely recommend anyone who loves a good suspense action story to check this out. I was given an advance copy by author Dana Marton in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book!!! I loved the characters Hunter is a tough as nails returning hero from Afghanistan. Gabi is also tough as nails but she comes from an extremely difficult childhood. Most of her family including her parents have chosen a life of crime, Gabi wanted better she chose a life as a police officer. A murder brings Gabi and Hunter together. Gabi is the arresting officer and Hunter is her suspect. Hunter is innocent and he and Gabi embark on an adventure to find out who committed the murder and in the process they fall in love. I am a huge fan of all Dana Marton books and this one is one of my favorite.

I just finished yet another fabulous story by Dana Marton. Deathwish is packed with drama, suspense, and romance. So many of my favorite things combined in one book. Dana Marton is one of my favorite romantic suspense writers and she does a fabulous job of keeping me on the edge of my seat and in complete suspense.  Gabriella Maria Flores has had a lot happen in her life and career. I really admired her strength and her kick butt attitude. I felt an instant connection to Gabi and I really enjoyed getting a chance to know her.  Gabi ends up with a horrible case as her first big case in Broslin. Her main suspect is her boss's brother Hunter Bing. She has her hands full to solve this case and make sure the right person pays for the crime.  Hunter Bing is excited to return home to his family and friends. However he gets a really big surprise that isn't a pleasant one. I don't want to tell you what it is and spoil the story for you. I will tell you there is plenty of mystery, twists and turns, and suspense in this storyline that I could not put Deathwish down.  When Gabi and Hunter first meet there is instant sparks. As they work together and get to know each other better the sparks turn into flames. They have many things they have to get through in order to make their relationship work.  There are a few twist and turns in this story that I certainly did not see coming. Dana Marton created an intriguing storyline with interesting characters that are a lot of fun to read about.  This is another awesome addition to the Broslin Creek series. I have really enjoyed each of the books I have read in this series. They are all great romantic suspense stories that kept me flipping pages to find out what in the world was going to happen next.  I am currently reading Dana Marton's next release so stay tuned for another review soon. I can tell already that it is going to be an awesome story.  I received the opportunity to read this great book so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Deathwish.

Favorite Book in Series so far Deathwish really has been my favorite story so far. The action starts on page one and keeps going strong till the last page. I had a very hard time putting the book down. I love how Hunter helps Gabi discover the true joy of Christmas. I thought I had the story figured out but I turned out to be only half right. I really hope there are several more books to come in this series..

A well-constructed mystery, and a lovely story. On the mystery side, tightly plotted, fairly played. The investigation into the murder is clearly and plausibly presented; this part of the story is a good police procedural. Then the romance side. ::sigh:: What's not to love? Equal parts of the Hero and Heroine falling in love with each other and with Broslin Creek, the town, as well. Throw in Christmas, and there was sniffling at the end, truly. OK, I'm an easy mark, but this was a heck of a good book. Full disclosure, I rec'd an ARC for review, but I'd buy this book in a heartbeat.

Here we have a compelling story of dreams and making our dreams come true only to find out they are just that dreams. Just when you think things can’t get any worse you find out that they can and they do. Dana touches on some very serious issues which leaves you torn between not liking the girlfriend to feeling sorry for her. This starts out fast, goes a little slow and then the author leaves you with your mouth hung open saying WHAT! This is one author that knows how to reel you in with a smile on her face and keeps you guessing until the end. Dana knows how to write powerful stories with power characters, strong alpha males and kick butt women who can stand on their own two feet, take you down with a smile on their face. Gabriella is cop who got caught up with a bad cop, she isn’t interested in men they have always let her down. She is just trying to get her life back, she will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Gabriella is my kind of lady, strong, demanding and no push over. All she wants is to save her career and Broslin Creek is the place to do that. Hunter is one hot ex military that just came home from war. He is planning to get married, he goes to meet up with his girlfriend to ask her to marry him and he finds her on his bed dead, shot with his gun. Things aren’t looking to good for this hero, his brother is the chief but he doesn’t get off easy when Gabriella is put on the case. Sparks fly along with a few bullets and life is never the same. If you are looking for a read with more twist and turn then you could ask for, with tons of mystery and suspense look no further you have found it with this author. She will keep you guessing, leaving you on the edge and will give you a nice little push to send you over it. As an author she is one very talented lady that with a mind like that I am not sure I would want to meet her in a dark alley. She puts that brain to good use writing her stories of love and betrayal showing her sense of humor why she brings her characters to life. Broslin Creek is one town where there is a lot of action but you always feel safe. They have more hot men than you can shake a stick at who know how to treat a lady. The way the author writes she bring this town to life, she makes you feel like you are right there with each character. Her characters are strong, demanding and she makes them very real. Her stories are believable and she always leaves you wanting more. This ending will blow your mind, you will never see it coming. Dana always writes a story that keeps you guessing, leaves you wondering what she has in store for you with her next book. If you are like me she can’t write fast enough to keep you happy.

Great Series!! This is a great book; it is book six of the Broslin Creek series. Gabriella (Gabi) is an officer and needs a big win to save her career. The big case she is assigned to is a high profile case with the number one suspect who ends up being her boss’s brother, Hunter. The problem is that Gabi has feelings for Hunter, so she needs to solve this case to see if Hunter is guilty or find out who is guilty. This book has it all, romance, humor, mystery, and suspense. I love this series, and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.  A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Dana Marton has done it again – another great Broslin Creek story. No cliffhanger! I have to say that from very near the beginning I thought I had the story figured out; I should have known better! While some of what I suspected did come into play it wasn’t at all the way I had thought it was going to be. And that’s the beauty of Dana’s writing. She did her usual wonderful job of crafting an interesting, can’t wait to get to the end, page turner. Hunter is Captain Bing’s younger brother and Gabi is an officer on the Broslin police force. Both of them have difficult histories that make them who they are. What Hunter thinks he wants doesn’t turn out to be what he actually wants and needs, and the same goes for Gabi. While this story is somewhat connected to the others in this series you don’t need to have read the first books to enjoy this one (but you really should read them!). You know from the book’s synopsis that Hunter is charged with murder. And, of course, since he is the hero he can’t be guilty. But how his innocence gets proven is how Dana makes this such a great, suspenseful romance. I truly enjoyed this book and hope that there will be more in this series. I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This was a very enjoyable story with danger….some murder….a little mystery….a bit of suspense….and some old fashioned love. Dana Martin created a wonderful place for the reader to get lost in while reading this story. Hunter was just coming back home from serving in the army with hopes of proposing to his girlfriend only to find himself caught up in a murder investigation with him as the star suspect. Gabi found herself the lead investigator on a murder case involving the Chief’s brother and the Chief also is her boss. This story was interesting from page one and I couldn’t wait to turn the page to see what was in store for Hunter and Gabi next. Gabi had her own demons she was running from and only planned on staying in Broslin until the heat blew over from her last job. But Hunter realized he had been looking in all the wrong places for love after he meets Gabi and discovers what his girlfriend had been up to since he was away. He was starting to understand maybe he didn’t love her like he thought he should have. Gabi and Hunter had chemistry between them and even though Gabi didn’t want to become involved with Hunter their attraction kept pulling them together. Great story overall and was well written with great character development. The story was just long enough to really get to know the characters and enjoy what they brought to the story. Really enjoyable read and highly recommend. I was given a advanced copy of this book to read for an honest review.

Dana has written another good book for this series. She has a real true way of developing her characters. We meet old friends and then make new ones with Hunter and Gabi. This is for sure an Adult Book. This really isn't a happy book. There are the OPS in Afghanistan. Then there is a murder back home concerning Hunter. There are so many spoilers. I"ll never tell. I read this story in one day. I can't put these books down easily. I start and need to finish at once. Now I wait for the next book Enjoy! I have this book for an honest review for Dana Martn.
