Title: Deceptive - On the Run International Mysteries Book 3 Author: Sara Rosett Published: 7-14-2014 Publisher: Sara Rosett Pages: 226 Genre: Mystery, Thrillers & Suspense Sub Genre: Romance ISBN: 13: 9781301056361 ASIN: B00DY5YL12 Reviewer: DelAnne Reviewed For: NetGalley Rating: 4.5 Stars I received a copy of "Deceptive" from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review. Description From The Publisher: A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a missing Monet painting is worth millions in cold hard cash… Freelancer Zoe Hunter specializes in living in the moment and keeping her options open so she holds back when her ex reappears, wanting to reboot their relationship. Zoe’s not sure she can handle a second crash and burn in the love department, but that issue takes a backseat when one of her clients dies. Zoe discovers the death is linked to a stolen Monet painting, and she’s being set up to take the fall for both the murder and the black-market art sale. To clear her name, Zoe plunges into the shadowy world of art theft, teaming up with a former goth girl hacker, a persistent reporter, and a retired FBI agent turned cruise ship enthusiast. With the help of her ragtag crew and her sexy ex, Zoe’s hunt takes her from Paris to sun-drenched villas on the Mediterranean coast. As she finds her way through a maze of lies and deceit, Zoe discovers staying alive is a fine art. My Review: This is the third book in the series and I found I had a hard time keeping up with some of the characters without reading the first two books in the series. After having read them I found this book much easier to follow. Zoe is the central character that all others interact with. She is well developed and has continued to evolve with each new book along with the others. Each book is its own plot that originated with the first book "Elusive" Some may be able to read Deceptive as a stand alone with very little effort. I like to know the background of characters and how they came to be where they are in the story line. For those who have read the series from the first, you will enjoy this latest installment of On The Run. I would rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Enjoyed the whole series. Very fast paced, keeps you turning the page to see what trouble Zoe gets into next and how she is going to get out of it. Love her and her ex husband Jack. I hope to read more of Zoe in the future. Highly Recommend. JudyEi
