Dendereh 1898

A pioneering Egyptologist, Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie (1853–1942) excavated over fifty sites and trained a generation of archaeologists. This excavation report, first published in 1900, documents and illustrates the findings made at the cemetery of Dendera, until then neglected by archaeologists in favour of the more famous temple site.
