Ahalyā played a little bit but important role in Rāmayāna. She was called "Devarupini" , she was cursed by her own husband because of her deeds. 

Rāma, lakshman and Vishwāmitra went her abode and freed her from the curse.

Many other authors has written different narrations of Ahalyā story which is very beautiful.
