Dirty Rocker Boys by Bobbie Brown, Caroline Ryder

An uncensored Hollywood tell-all filled with explicit tales of love, sex, and revenge from the video vixen made famous by Warrant’s rock anthem “Cherry Pie.”

Who could forget the sexy “Cherry Pie” girl from hair metal band Warrant’s infamous music video? Bobbie Brown became a bona fide vixen for her playful role as the object of lead singer Jani Lane’s desires. But the wide-eyed Louisiana beauty queen’s own dreams of making it big in Los Angeles were about to be derailed by her rock-and-roll lifestyle. After her tumultuous marriage to Jani imploded, and her engagement to fast-living Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee ended in a drug haze—followed by his marriage later to Pamela Anderson—Bobbie decided it was time Hollywood’s hottest bachelors got a taste of their own medicine. Step one: get high. Step two: get even.

In a captivating, completely uncensored confessional, Bobbie explicitly recounts a life among some of the most famous men in Hollywood: Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner, Mark McGrath, Dave Navarro, Sebastian Bach, Ashley Hamilton, Rob Pilatus of Milli Vanilli, Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, Orgy’s Jay Gordon, and many more. No man was off limits as the fun-loving bombshell spiraled into excess, anger, and addiction.

Bobbie survived the party—barely—and her riveting, cautionary comeback tale is filled with the wildest stories of sex, drugs, and rock and roll ever told.

What a delightfully sinful romp through the age of sexy music videos from the vixen who starred in Warrant’s hit video for Cherry Pie. Very interesting information on the late Jani Lane (Warrant lead singer). It is a fast read. I really enjoyed it.

Great book from a female perspective of the madness and chaos on the sunset strip when hairspray and spandex ruled the clubs and Rock n Roll was the universal language. But the heart of the book shows the struggle and addiction of love, drugs, money, and fame. No one is immune.

Dirty Rocker Boys is an uncensored look into the world of 1980’s Glam Metal. The book is well written and very interesting. Bobbie Brown has lived a very interesting life and paints a clear picture of what that strange world was like for one of the era’s most famous video vixens.

This book might not change the world, but it was entertaining and provided a unique look into the 80's hair metal heyday.  Loved it!

I love a good rock and roll tell all and this book delivers. With only a couple yrs age difference with the author, I could relate to the times and remember alot of what happened in that era. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. I loved it!!

I didn't know who Bobbie Brown was until I did some research and read her book. It was so good. I love when people tell the truth and don't try to act all innocent and perfect. (Like Holly Maddison, Down the Rabbit Whole. Horrible fake girl and a waste of money on her book) Anyway, there were parts that made me laugh and almost cry but all and all great book and hard to put down ! !!

In the end, she was just always looking for real love but always with someone who had a rocker title to him. Great memoir.

As a fan of rock bios, Dirty Rocker Boys was a fun & interesting read. It was cool to get a peek inside, behind the curtain of the strip.

The book gives good insight into what life in the hair metal scene was like. It was sad reading about the path that jani lane ended going down.

There are a few ways to describe this book. 1. The true story of a drug-addled skank with no zero self esteem. 2. The true story of a drug-addled whore, skank, who blames others for her misfortunes and blows her career by taking too many drugs and fucking too many idiots, all in the name of sex-drugs and rock n' roll. She also makes a point of trying to tell you what a good person her daughter turns out to be although she has absolutely nothing to do with the poor child's upbringing. Or 3. The true story of one of the stupidest creatures on god's green earth, blessed with good genes and an enhanced bust line, who blows every opportunity she is given by consistently making the wrong choice at every turn. Listen, Bobbie, if you're going to write a tell-all book, include a lot more sex, a lot more nudity, and for goodness sake, own up to the fact that you wish you were Pamela Anderson (another dim bulb). This book is nothing more than a desperate plea for attention by a 1980's video vixen who's 15 minutes were up at the 12 minute mark, but tried in vain to keep herself relevant by writing this god awful book. Go back to obscurity you nitwit. Maybe try spending some time with the daughter you chose to abandon in favor of getting laid by Kevin Costner or Dave Navarro. (he comes off as a real creep - who she seems to admire). This part of the book does nothing for your image, in fact, the mere fact she made out with Navarro shows the world what a Class A skank-whore she is.

I liked the book. Bobbi told it like it was pulling no punches.

Not the type of book I would usually read. Wanted to change it up a. bit. Not once in the book did she say that she loved her daughter nor did she mention how she mist her daughter when her mother was taken care of her daughter for many years. The girl is still broken over Tommy Lee.

Took me two days to read, It was so good I wished there were 300 more pages, so I could enjoy it for even longer. It really gives you the inside scoop of what fame is like. This book gave me so much respect for Bobbie Jean Brown too! I always thought she was beautiful, but this book shows you that she's beautiful on the inside and out!
