I made it to Chapter 3 and stopped. Might try again later but not into it right now. Main character talking about how he likes watching blood shoot and leak out and that fascination for instance.

This was a good book. There is a lot of violence and steamy sex scenes. The love affair between Elina and Kazier was confusing at first and I always figured there was a strange twist in there somewhere. They had a good connection but it seemed mostly physical and I struggle to see how their love is so strong. Freya’s character confused me because she appeared to be so timid yet possessed a strength that didn’t seem to fit her. I felt like it was hard to get a vision in my mind of her. I was totally confused by the ending related to Death and Polly. I can’t even say I know what happened there. Thank goodness I can go right into the next book to find out what’s going on.

** Review written by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under ** Two families at war. Sworn enemies. Blood will be shed. The war has only just begun. One family will ultimately be on top. One man will be ruler of his empire and his men. But at what cost? Whos lives will be lost? Whos heart will be broken? Who will fall in love? Who will make sure they get the golden prize? Who will fall, and who will rise above it all? These families, forever enemies, but forever entwined. But why? Again TL Smith has given us perfection. From the prologue I was completely drawn in. It had me hooked until the very end. Raw, gritty, confronting to the extreme. Nightmarish, stomach turning to the highest degree. Evil, edge of your seat with twists all consuming to the soul. Sexy, sinfully delicious and all things damn hot and heavy. Distrust has all of that and so much more….And I mean so much more that I can’t even explain it. It’s hard to review perfection, so writing this is tough, but please, I implore you….YOU NEED TO READ THIS!! It will leave you completely spellbound, breathless and you will be left wanting more! A huge 5 star read

I have devoured every one of TL's books and Distrust was no exception!? FABULOUS, dark and sexy, Elina played with Kazier for years and when he has finally had enough, he takes what he wants from her. After years of her disappearing act, finding that she has deceived him this entire time he is determined to find answers and bring justice to those who deserve it. She has a power over him like no other and he isn't willing to let it go. This book was dark, hot and I didn't want to put it down. I love TL's writing and and can't wait to read Death & Pollie's story in the next book!!

This book was a whole lot of different for a Mafia romance, I'm use to more gore and what not this was a bit low key in that department; still a really great story. This story was amazing the writing was wonderful and down right dirty and could really keep you hooked on every page no matter what. The back and forth between the main characters was a head spin, I never knew which way was up or down with them. I really had to keep my focus in case I was to miss a really hott scene or an important part of the story. Kazier what a really unique name, he's strong caring and all alpha all the time. Elina is this really magnificent woman with a heart of gold and strong in her own way. Both growing up in different Mafia's and always at war with each others families it was great and amazing to see the love that has come out of it at the end. The different characters in this story really amaze me and made me want more and more. The shocking effects that happen with them are out of this world. It's a 2 person POV story that starts out as one and about half way through it turns into 2. I would suggest that anyone read this story it's amazing. As far as 4 stars go I felt like some of the story my mind was going on and on like a ping pong ball back and forth. That did make me place the story down just a few times. I loved all the characters and how they acted towards one another, I loved the story line. MUST READ Story!!!! ***I received this story for free in exchange for an honest review***

This book is a very quick read. I finished it in less than a day and it was pretty good. You have several different families that are all fighting for control of the city. The Italians and Russians are the main ones and Kazier is in charge of the Russians. Kazier is kind of an alpha in that he is in charge of the family and has everyone scared of him. He is also a little crazy. He took blood lust to a whole new level. Elina is his one weakness. She has played with his head for the last two years. Kazier is supposed to be getting married since he has taken over the family business. Freya has been promised by her family to marry Kazier and while they are not in love she is not putting up Elina. There is a lot of action in this book and that kept it interesting. I can honestly say that I don't like Kazier or Elina. I feel like Kazier wanted to be tough and in charge but at the end of the day he was only listening to the incorrect head. Elina was just using her body to mess with his mind. I loved Freya, Anton and even Death. They added some comic relief and helped make the book a little better. I am giving this book 4 stars out of 5. I think most people will love it and I think that you should get the book and try it out.
