whether you know who aleister is or you dont, this is a good book, whether you like black magik or not, it is a good book. Everyone needs to know about this man.!

This is the best biography of The Beast yet. It beats Regardie's 'Eye in the Triangle' on many levels, particularly in the realm of objectivity. Reading this book transformed my deluded vision of Crowley as god into Crowley as human and imperfect. I thoroughly enjoyed it's descriptiveness and closed the book with greater understanding and sensitivity for 666. Hail Eris.

This biography is quite exhaustive, and explains almost totally the life of Mr. Crowley. It contains various references to his many works, and shows the truth of his life as can best be told. That's all we could hope for in ANY biography.

A superb work; the definitive Crowley biography. Objective, thorough, and eye opening. Perhaps some Thelemites would prefer hagiography to biography, I for one would not. 'Veil not thy vices in virtuous words.'
