Dr. NEURO by Max Monroe

I'm Dr. Nick Raines.

Brain surgeon and notorious over-thinker, I take the analytical approach with everything, until I can determine the best, carefully calculated plan of action. It's no shock the producers of the popular reality series The Doctor Is In have decided to call me Dr. Neurotic.

Besides my more than full-time job as Chief of Neurosurgery at St. Luke's Hospital, I'm a single dad and my number one priority is my daughter.

But life had plans to add another priority to my list.

Charlotte Hollis. Outspoken, impulsive, and beautiful, she's everything I didn't know I was craving.

She makes me wonder What if?

What if I don't have to be alone for the rest of my life to give my little girl the father she deserves?

It's a battle-my battle: Head vs. Heart.

"Dr. Neurotic" is wild, witty, infectious (in a good way), and absolutely energizing! Max Monroe creates an amazing whirlwind of a Heroine: bright, intelligent, crazy optimistic and just plain fun. Nick first appeared in the Billionaire Bad Boy series and finally comes into his own and earns his redemption. Charlotte seems to mainly be "walking on sunshine" with her life finally all falling into place. She's back in the city she loves, meets hot, sexy doc, and a promising relationship lies before them. Nick still feels he's lacking after two years of committing to be a good dad for his daughter. He attends every game, meet, and enjoys every weekend with her. Other than work she's his only social life. But he still feels as though he's not good enough. He let his daughter, and her mother, down for seven years and he's not sure he'll ever redeem himself. It goes without saying that all Max Monroe books are outrageous fun. "Dr. Neurotic" is one of the most fun of those books. The relationship conflict is stellar and for someone who reads as many romances as me the "roadblock" came outta left-field. That is a good thing! I found the characters in "Dr. Neurotic" to be especially likable and charming. Bonus: the cockles of my heart are warm in future book certainty. I know a secondary character from the Billionaire Bad Boy series and the St. Luke's docuseries will get his HEA. He has to now. The chemistry between Nick and Char is wonderful. Nick starts his metamorphosis, under the Heroine's influence, upon their first encounter. Char is a manically divine Heroine; whom I adore. If you're a fan of the Billionaire Bad Boy series Winnie, Wes, Lexi, and Remy make appearances. Bottomline, "Dr. Neurotic" is an absolute delight! Warning: Dr. Neuro may cause a permanent cause of Permagrin! Even since they announcement of the St. Luke's Docuseries series, I was DYING for Nick's story. If you have read all the Billionaire Bad Boys books, or more specifically book #3 Scoring the Billionaire, you'll have had a little sneak peek at Nick. If you haven't read it, that's ok. This book is a standalone and you'll learn everything you need to know about him here. Having read that book, Nick didn't make a good first impression with me. He was the guy who abandoned his pregnant girlfriend Winnie in favor of his career. In my mind, he had a bit of a steep climb to redeem himself. I didn't expect him to win me over so easily, but he really did. Charlotte is everything I love in a heroine. Relatable, down to earth, sassy and completely unpredictable. She was also SO MUCH FUN! I loved the way she drew Nick out of his shell, opening him to new experiences and emotions he had closed himself off to. I was also extremely happy for a few appearances from Nick daughter, Lexi. The kid is wildly entertaining and comic genius at its best. She was definitely a big part of my legit laugh out loud moments. The part about this book that I loved the most? The highly emotional and completely unexpected twist that I never saw coming. Overall, I was completely enthralled and captivated by this story overflowing with humor, heat and heart. Nick and Charlotte have claimed the title of "Favorite Couple in a Max Monroe Book". This author's stories are always worthy of a one-click!
