Broke, lost, and trying to escape a past that haunts him, Ben drifts into Geraldton. At the Outback Bar, he meets barmaid Kelly. She’s nothing like he expects, and Ben is entranced.

Strong and determined, Kelly encourages Ben to write. With her, he feels he can reconcile his past. That he can become somebody more than he is.
