Overview

In 1992 South Central Los Angeles, two Korean-American brothers (Daniel So and Justin Chon) run a shoe store and share a friendship with an 11-year-old black girl (Simone Baker) who likes hanging out with them. When news of the Rodney King verdict sparks citywide riots, their lives are upended as their place in the local community is threatened by violence and looting. Chon also wrote and directed.
