Overview

Kevin Williamson produced this atmospheric tale of terror, shot on location in New Orleans. A group of teenagers find themselves stranded in the swamps of Louisiana, where they run afoul of voodoo worshipers and a malevolent spirit the locals call Mr. Jangles. Starring Jonathan Jackson, Method Man, and Bijou Phillips, Venom was produced under the title Backwater, and at one point was scheduled for release as The Reaper.
