Bill Hyer was born and raised in Southern California, lived in Hawaii, and came to Christ at the age of 18 in the Jesus Movement. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Summa Cum Laude in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois, and a Master of Divinity Magna Cum Laude from Gordon-Conwell Seminary, South Hamilton, Massachusetts.
