About the Author

David Annal is a professional researcher in family history and he is well-respected and very experienced in this field. His company, Lifelines Research, undertakes freelance research into whole family histories for cients. He speaks regularly at family history events and conferences and he is a regular contributor to family history publications as well as being a resdient expert on Nick Barratt's Your Family History magazine. David's other books include Getting Started in Family History, Using Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates and Using Census Returns (Public Records Office, 2000) and he co-wrote Census: The Expert Guide with Peter Christian (National Archives 2008).
David Annal is a professional researcher in family history and former Principle Family History Specialist at The National Archives. His company, Lifelines Research, has performed research for clients around the world, and he is a regular speaker at family history events.
