This is the second time I read this book and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Love Zoe and her ex husband Jack. Kept me turning the pages trying to keep up with her. A good mystery, romance and humor. I highly recommend this & the next one in the series which I will be rereading next. JudyE

We are introduced to Zoe Hunter who will be taken on a fast-paced, cross-country journey of mystery and suspense and what an enjoyably thrilling ride Elusive was. The action began immediately and was non-stop all the way as the story moved forward with surprising twists in this adrenaline-rush drama. The author did a great job in keeping it fresh and entertaining and I can’t wait to read the next book in this terrific new series.

I am dithering between a 4- and a 5-star rating for this book. It is not great literature, and it does have some defects, but I read the entire book in one day, and it is an entertaining page-turner. Zoe, a freelance copy editor, decides on a whim to hit the road when she learns that she is a person of interest in the disappearance of her ex-husband and the murder of his business partner. From then on, the action never stops, with many a twist and turn. About halfway through, I did notice some use of the wrong homonyms and incorrect apostrophes. One loose end in the plot has to do with who is shuffling enormous amounts of money between bank accounts. Although it is part of a series, this book comes to a satisfying conclusion.

Starting out in Dallas, Zoe Hunter is already in a heap of trouble when her exhusband absconds with company funds. But Zoe knows him better than that and here begins the adventure as she tries to find the man she once loved. From Las Vegas to Italy she travels learning more and more about how little she knew of the man. A fabulous tour of the world! I loved it.

This is a great who-is-he novel. Jack Andrews is the man Zoe Hunter married but he goes missing with the company money and Zoe finds a passport with his picture but another name. It’s a world wind mystery tour as she looks for her ex husband and solves the mystery surrounding his crimes.

Good story line, fast moving, good twists. Only criticism is some evidence found for use not plausable. Am only generalizing so as not to take away from the story.

Elusive is a fairly fast paced story. Zoe's ex-husband who she happens to share their house with disappears during a storm. The story takes place in Dallas, Texas so I was immediately interested. When she finds his business partner murdered only a few hours later and then is questioned by police and the FBI Zoe begins a search of her own to discover Jack's secrets and hopefully find him. The story moves at a good steady pace. It is filled with twists and turns and kept me on the edge of my seat. The reader is taken on a fast paced journey from Texas to Las Vegas and then a fun visit to Italy. This was a book that if I had read the print copy I would have finished in a day. One of those books you let everything go and just relax and read! The main reason that I wanted to share this review on this blog was because it is a good clean book. No language. No bedroom scenes. The crime scenes are not graphic. There is a bit of humor in the story. And a teeny tiny bit of romance. I won't spill the beans for you. The only negative I have to say about the book is I felt like there was a little of a secondary plot about some of the sub characters that wasn't finished. I was glad to find this is book 1 and hope that the questions I have are revealed in upcoming books. I didn't do a lot of searching to see where the book is available but you can find it at Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Also I found it is available free on the authors website. Click Here. If your looking for a good clean read visit Sara's site. I read Elusive on my phone with the KOBO app. I was not asked by anyone to write this receive.
